Optional Insurance Plans. The City shall offer at least two (2) optional insurance plans for employee participation. Optional Insurance Plans. Commencing with the first full month after the date of employment, an Association member will receive a Monthly Benefit Allowance at the applicable rate reference in Section 6.1.1. After making the required contributions for medical insurance under the PERS Medical Unequal Contribution Method, the remaining dollars may be used by the Association member either to purchase medical insurance through PERS Health or to purchase any other optional plans that may be offered by the City or PORAC in accordance with a qualified plan. Plans currently include: Dental, Voluntary Vision, Long Term Care, Voluntary Group Life Insurance and Supplemental Insurance Options.

Each 43 employee shall follow District Fiscal Office Procedures for paying the insurance premiums for the 44 months they are on leave.
