Other Shutdown periods. Clipsal may, from time to time, shutdown the manufacturing facility or part of it. During such shutdown, employees agree to take TOIL credits if available. Clipsal will endeavour to provide employees with as much notice as possible of a shutdown period. Employees will be provided with no less than 1 weeks notice unless by majority agreement for less notice. An employee who does not have sufficient TOIL credits will be able to, at the discretion of Clipsal, access current long service leave or annual leave entitlements or granted TOIL in advance. If none of these provisions are available to the employee unpaid leave will be granted. Example Australia Day public holiday is due to occur in 4 working days on a Thursday and employees have requested the Friday off work in order to have a long weekend. Clipsal’s manufacturing division determines the manufacturing plant can shut down the Friday after Australia Day. The majority of employees agree to a reduction in notice requirements therefore this shut down can occur Example Xxxx commenced employment with Clipsal on 1 February 2006. As a full time employee, Xxxx accrues 11.692 hours of annual leave for each completed four weeks of service. Clipsal shuts down the manufacturing facility for a period over Easter, including five ordinary working days plus public holidays. At the commencement of the shutdown, an entitlement of 35 hours of annual leave has been credited to Xxxx. Xxxx has no entitlement to long service leave or time off in lieu, and therefore is paid annual leave for 30.4 hours of the shutdown period only (that is, four whole days), and the remaining 7.6 hours unpaid.
