Paramedical. Combined paramedical coverage to an annual maximum of One Thousand, two hundred and fifty ($1,250).
Paramedical. Combined paramedical practitioner coverage including psychologist, speech therapist, chiropractor, osteopath, chiropodist/podiatrist or naturopath. $750 per person per year. Effective July 1, 2017, $900 per person per year.
Paramedical services of a licensed Chiropractor, Osteopath, Podiatrist, Chiropodist, to a maximum of $350.00 per person per benefit year, per specialty.
Paramedical. Employees will be covered for chiropractors, physiotherapist, podiatrists, etc to a max of $500 per year per practitioner.
Paramedical. Expenses for the services of any of the following practitioners, provided such practitioner is duly licensed or duly registered where required in the province of practice and does not ordinarily reside in the Insured Person's Residence and is not an Immediate Family Member, subject to the maximum stated in the Schedule, per specialty, per Accident, or Illness (such services do not require the recommendation of a Physician except as indicated below):
Paramedical. Expenses for the services of any of the following licensed practitioners, provided such practitioner does not ordinarily reside in the Insured Person's Residence and is not an Immediate Family Member up to $50 per treatment, subject to the maximum stated in the Schedule, per calendar year (such services do not require the recommendation of a Physician except as indicated below):
Paramedical. When deemed essential on an emergency basis and accompanied by a written referral from a Physician, the services of a licensed chiropractor, osteopath, physiotherapist, athletic therapist, or registered nurse to a maximum of $100 per visit up to the amount stated in the Schedule of Maximum Benefits for all providers. Counselling Expenses incurred for trauma counselling sessions from a licenced psychologist for the Insured, the Insured’s parents, legal guardian and/or siblings up to the amount stated in the Schedule of Maximum Benefits if the Insured dies or suffers a loss under Accidental Death & Dismemberment, or is diagnosed with a Critical Illness. Special Training When required by the Insured as a result of a covered Accident or Sickness, we cover special employment training up to $150 per day for accommodation in a hotel and meals up to the amount stated in the Schedule of Maximum Benefits. Benefit only applies if training is delivered at a location more than 160 km from where the Insured lives.
Paramedical. Effective December 1, 2009 the Paramedical benefit will increase to $300.00 per benefit year.
Paramedical. A health care professional function supplementary to Medicine. Instruction – The process of giving guidance and direction to a student. This connotes giving a level of knowledge above orienta- tion or demonstration of procedures.
Paramedical. Provision of payment for services of licensed chiropractors, osteopaths, podiatrists, physiotherapists, speech therapists; and masseur, to a limit of thirty dollars ($30.00) per visit; and for a psychologist, limited to thirty dollars ($30.00) per half-hour for individual psychotherapy and testing; thirty-five dollars ($35.00) per half-hour for family therapy; twenty dollars ($20.00) per hour or group therapy; and thirty dollars ($30.00) for all other visits. Ambulance Provide coverage for emergency transportation. Private Duty Nurse Provide coverage to a maximum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) per person, lifetime. Outside of Coverage Provide coverage to a maximum of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) per person, per year. Hearing Aid Provide coverage of four hundred dollars ($400.00) every four (4) years, including replacement of batteries and repairs. Orthopaedic Shoes Provide customize orthopaedic shoes, provided such shoes are recommended for the person by a licensed physician or podiatrist. Emergency Dental Provided if treatment is required as a direct result of an accidental injury to natural teeth. This coverage is in addition to the maximum annual dental coverage. Nursing Home Coverage for employees to be provided of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per day in a chronic care facility, to maximum of one (1) year.
