Parking Enforcement Officers. Their regular workday shall consist of eight (8) hours including a consecutive period of one (1) hour for lunch.
Parking Enforcement Officers. Navy blue pants; light blue short and long sleeved shirts; navy blue, quilted jackets; navy blue baseball caps and navy blue visors with City logo; and waterproof boots. Waterproof boots will be replaced with Supervisor approval. Accessory items include a slicker, safety gloves, goggles, ear protection, back support and an orange reflector vest to be issued as needed as determined by the Supervisor. Employees may wear their own windbreakers of a solid navy color, subject to Supervisor’s approval.

The City will select, procure and issue uniforms giving the due consideration to the items, numbers, materials and quality consistent with the needs, use, function and responsibility of the parking enforcement officers. The City will arrange a suitable schedule for cleaning of shirts and trousers, as necessary, at City expense.
Parking Enforcement Officers. It is agreed and understood by the parties that based on the needs of the Corporation that the hours of work for Parking Enforcement Officers move to a 24 hours per day, 7 days per week operation shift schedule, effective upon ratification. The parties have agreed to implement the new shift and the following provisions will apply;
Parking Enforcement Officers. The City has the right to have a night and Saturday shift and to assign employees of the Parking Bureau hired on or after January 1, 1991 to such shift. Such assignment shall be on a rotating basis if there is more than one (1) such employee. Such shift assignment shall end no later than 11:00 p.m. with a one (1) hour meal break. The Saturday shift shall be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with one (1) hour meal break. Additionally, those employees on such shift shall have the use of a Department vehicle and two-way radios. The City shall have the right to assign employees hired prior to January 1, 1991, who are provisional civil service employees to such night/Saturday shift on a rotating basis for the period of February 1, 1991 to March 2, 1991. Thereafter, the City may assign such employees to the night/Saturday shift for an additional 30 calendar day period if it is unable to hire a Parking Enforcement Officer after reasonable efforts. The City shall cooperate with the CSEA in the specific efforts made to hire such employees. In addition, the City may thereafter utilize such provisional employees to substitute for Parking Enforcement Officers assigned to the night/Saturday shift who are absent for a period of a minimum of one (1) week or more. Provisional employees hired prior to January 1, 1991 who become eligible for permanent status pursuant to Civil Service Law shall be appointed to such position if their name can be reached on the eligibility list. Such employees shall be treated in the same manner as Parking Enforcement Officers who were on permanent status on or before January 1, 1991.
