Part-Time Faculty Employment. A. Part-time faculty members shall be employed by the College only when the need for such service exists. When such a need exists the course or function will be assigned by the designated administrator as provided herein. Qualifications for persons so employed shall meet, at the time of assignment, minimum competencies for teaching the course(s) or performing the function for which the need exists.

Part-Time Faculty Employment. A . Part-time faculty members shall be employed by the College only when the need for such service exists. Qualifications for persons so employed shall meet, at the time of assignment, minimum competencies for teaching the course(s) or performing the function for which the need exists. At the time of hire, the designated Administrator shall make known to the part-time faculty member their Primary Course(s), as determined by the need(s) for which they were hired. The designated Administrator will make known to the part-time faculty member the course(s) for which they have been qualified and/or credentialed to teach. This notice will be provided:

  • Part-Time Employment (a) A part-time employee is an employee who is engaged to work less than full-time hours of an average of 38 hours per week and has reasonably predictable hours of work.

  • Summer Employment 26.1 In selecting teaching staffs for summer programs, employment shall be offered to teachers who are certified and “Highly Qualified” in the subject area(s).

  • Overtime for Part-Time Employees (a) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular workday, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the workday of a full-time employee.
