Personal Leave Accrual, Carry-Over and Cash. Out For employees converting from vacation and sick time to paid personal leave, a maximum amount of personal leave will be allowed to be carried at any time during the year. Initially, the maximum amount will be the amount of personal leave accrued by the employee at the time that the plan is implemented. As employees use personal leave, the maximum amount will be lowered by the amount of leave they use, until it is at or below two (2) times the employees’ annual personal leave accrual. Once the rate is lowered to or below two (2) times the employees’ annual accrual rate and for new employees that are on the Paid Personal Leave Plan, at no time may accumulated personal leave exceed two (2) times the annual rate at which employees earn personal leave. In addition to carrying a maximum amount of personal leave, employees will be able to cash-out a maximum of four (4) days or thirty-two (32) hours of their personal leave anytime during the calendar year. Under no circumstances, may an employee cash-out more than four (4) days or thirty-two (32) hours in a calendar year. The cash-out will be at the employee’s current hourly rate and will be paid to the employee as taxable income or at the employee’s election, may be placed into a 457 deferred compensation account consistent with IRS guidelines.

  • Personal Leave Accrual All employees shall accrue personal leave at the rate of one and twenty-three hundredths (1.23) hours for each eighty (80) hours in active pay status, excluding overtime hours, not to exceed a total of thirty-two (32) hours accrued in one year.

  • Annual Leave Accrual If an employee leaves State Classified employment and is later rehired, he/she shall accrue annual leave at the same rate as a new hire. However, once a rehired employee has been in pay status for five (5) years, all previous service time shall be credited for annual leave accrual. The only exception shall be for employees rehired who repay severance pay received.

  • Leave Accruals Accumulated annual leave, personal leave, and sick leave balances will automatically be frozen for the duration of the leave of absence. The employee will not accrue leave credits during the leave of absence.

  • Leave Accrual After the first 30 days of active military service in any one calendar year, employees shall not accrue City-paid vacation, holiday, or sick leave benefits or other forms of paid leave; provided, however, that any public employee on military leave for intermittent training periods shall continue to accrue the same vacation, sick, and holiday leave up to a maximum period of 180 cumulative days per calendar year as if the employee had not been on military leave.

  • Pension Contributions While on Short Term Disability Contributions for OMERS Plan Members When an employee/plan member is on short-term sick leave and receiving less than 100% of regular salary, the Board will continue to deduct and remit OMERS contributions based on 100% of the employee/plan member’s regular pay.

  • Vacation Accrual Rates Laid off employees who are re-employed shall have the vacation accrual rate they held immediately prior to layoff restored.

  • Personal Leave Day A. An employee may choose one (1) workday as a personal leave day each fiscal year during the life of this Agreement if the employee has been continuously employed for more than four (4) months.
