Personal/Professional Days a. The Board will grant two (2) personal leave days at full pay to each full-time Bargaining Unit Member for personal business. Such leave days are non- accumulative as personal leave; however, unused personal leave shall be added to accumulated sick leave days. Personal leave days shall be arranged with the Principal (or his/her designee) prior to their use whenever possible. Except in extenuating circumstances (which must be discussed with the Director of Human Resources), these days shall not be taken on days immediately prior to or following school holidays, nor shall they be taken on the first two or last two work days of the school year. For regular part-time employees, personal leave days will be pro-rated to one (1) day at the equivalent number of hours the ParaEducator works during a normal work day. For example, if the ParaEducator works four (4) hours a day, he/she shall receive four (4) hours of personal leave time.

Personal/Professional Days. 9.2.1 Each full-time teacher shall be entitled to two (2) days. These days may be used for Personal and/or Professional Days not to exceed the two (2) days. All unused Personal Days will be converted to sick days for the following school year.
Personal/Professional Days. Each teacher may request a professional day(s) from the Superintendent through the Principal/Director by stating the date of said day and how the attendance at such a conference or workshop will benefit the Uxbridge Public Schools. Each school will be allocated a sum of money to be expended on professional development activities approved by the Principal/Director, in consultation with the School Council and Professional Development Committee. Professional Development funds may be used for re-certification activities required by the Education Reform Act. The Professional Development expenses will be not less than $60,000 as a system-wide total.

  • Professional Days Upon prior written application to the College, an Employee may, be granted permission to attend, during time periods when the Employee is responsible for performing duties for the College, educational and professional activities without loss of pay.

  • Professional Service Consultant agrees that all services and work performed under this agreement will be accomplished in a professional manner, in accordance with the accepted standards of Contractor’s profession.

  • Personal Day All employees shall receive a personal day in each contract year. This personal day is in addition to the holidays listed in paragraph 3 above. The personal day shall be scheduled in accordance with the following provision: Employees may select such day off on five (5) days notice to the Employer provided such selection does not result in a reduction of employees in the building below 75% of the normal work staff. Such selection shall be made in accordance with seniority.

  • Professional Dress In as much as teachers are role models for students, each teacher shall maintain a neat, professional appearance appropriate for his/her specific teaching assignment.

  • Other Professional Services We will provide you the various implementation-related services itemized in the Investment Summary and described in the Statement of Work.

  • PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY DAYS 22.01 (a) A Long-Term Occasional Teacher who is scheduled to work when there is a Professional Activity Day shall be required to participate in the scheduled professional activities and shall be paid for such day.

  • DEPENDENT PERSONAL SERVICES 1. Subject to the provisions of Articles 16, 18 and 19, salaries, wages and other similar remuneration derived by a resident of a Contracting State in respect of an employment shall be taxable only in that State unless the employment is exercised in the other Contracting State. If the employment is so exercised, such remuneration as is derived therefrom may be taxed in that other State.
