Physical/Psychological Examinations. ‌ If, at any time, there is any question concerning a Dispatcher’s fitness-for-duty, or fitness to return to duty following an absence, the University may require, at its expense, that the Dispatcher have a medical examination by a licensed medical doctor, and/or a psychological examination by a qualified and licensed psychiatrist or psychologist selected by the University. The University will provide the medical professional’s name and contact information to the employee prior to the examination date. At the Union’s request, the University will meet to discuss (not negotiate) over any concerns about the medical professional’s qualifications and credentials to perform the examination.

Physical/Psychological Examinations. If, at any time, there is any question concerning an employee's fitness for duty or fitness to return to duty following a layoff or leave of absence, the City may require, at its expense (to the extent not otherwise paid for by the employee's insurance), that the employee have a physical examination and/or psychological examination by a qualified and licensed medical professional selected by the City. The City will not make a psychological exam a pre-condition for returning from a layoff. The City also may continue to require, at its expense (to the extent not otherwise paid for by the employee's insurance), periodic physical examinations of all employees.
Physical/Psychological Examinations. When information regarding a member comes to the attention of the Superintendent or designee which pertains to the member’s physical or psychological ability to perform his/her duties or which may have a direct impact on the physical safety and welfare of the member, fellow employees or the students, the following procedures will be implemented:
Physical/Psychological Examinations. A firefighter on injury leave shall promptly request that his/her physician provide to the Town all medical reports concerning the condition of the firefighter relating to the injury claimed to be the reason for such injury leave. S/he shall also authorize his/her physician in writing to provide such reports to the Town. All medical reports shall be provided to the Town in writing and signed by the treating medical provider. A medical report shall be provided to the Town in all cases when injury leave is claimed. The Town reserves the right to require a firefighter who is receiving benefits under this section to submit to physical or psychological examinations by a physician, or other appropriate medical professional, chosen by the Town and at the expense of the Town to determine IOD status.
Physical/Psychological Examinations. The Town may require a Police Officer who request benefits under this section to submit to physical or psychological examinations, at the expense of the town, prior to being placed on IOD Status and at reasonable intervals once such status has been granted. Such examinations may include the assessment of incapacity, diagnosis, prognosis and causation. Such examinations will be conducted by a physician who is Board certified or is a specialist in the field, which is directly related to the illness/injury for which benefits are sought.
Physical/Psychological Examinations. The town may require a Fire Fighter who request benefits under this section to submit to physical or psychological examinations, at the expense of the town, at reasonable intervals once such status has been granted. Such examinations may include the assessment of incapacity, diagnosis, prognosis and causation. Such examinations will be conducted by a physician who is Board certified or is a specialist in the field, which is directly related to the illness/injury for which benefits are sought. In the event there is a dispute regarding eligibility for injured leave and the union has invoked arbitration of that dispute, the Town shall have the right, once the arbitrator is selected, to apply to the arbitrator for permission to conduct an examination, at the expense of the Town, under this section, such examination to be conducted before the hearing on the merits. The union agrees not to oppose any such application by the Town.

  • Physical Examinations Where the Employer requires an employee to take a physical examination, doctor's fees for such examination shall be paid by the Employer. Except prior to commencement of employment and the first four (4) weeks of employment, such examinations shall be taken during the employee's working hours without loss of pay to the employee.

  • Annual Physical Examination A permanent employee shall be granted up to one day per year with pay for the purpose of a comprehensive physical examination provided that the verification of such an examination is submitted to the District.

  • Medical Examinations An employee may be required by the Employer, at the request of and at the expense of the Employer, to take a medical examination by a physician of the employee's choice.
