Piece Work. Both parties agree that there shall be no piece work permitted on any type of work covered by this Agreement, either inside or outside of the shop. The Employer, or agent of the Union, or employee covered by this Agreement shall not give or accept, directly or indirectly, any rebate of wages.
Piece Work. Any written or spoken agreement between an employer and employee concerning work performed on a piecework basis, whether or not related to a system of incentives or performance bonuses, paid by the job or for a fixed price, is strictly prohibited and the employer and employee concerned are liable to the fines provided for under the Act. No claim made under the division governing the special compensation fund is admissible under such an agreement.
Piece Work. The Union prohibits piece work of any description.
Piece Work. If the Company utilizes a piece work incentive or bonus plan, the operations of such a plan shall be covered by the provisions of Appendix "C" hereof.
Piece Work. (1) Piece-work may not be given out or performed unless with the consent of the Regional Council concerned.
(2) Whenever piece-work is performed, an employee so employed shall be paid the full amount earned by him under the piece-work rates agreed to between himself and his employer: Provided, however, that no employee shall be paid less than the prescribed amount which he would have earned if he had been employed on a time-work basis for the period taken to perform the work concerned.
(3) Apprentices shall not on any account be employed on piece-work.
Piece Work. (1) Where the Employee is required to perform piece work by the Employer, the rates shall be agreed between them, which shall be so determined that the Employee shall earn not less than 10% over and above the prescribed basic wage.
(2) Where the Employee is required to perform piece work on a Public Holiday or in excess of normal days work, he shall be remunerated at a rate which shall not be less than a sum exceeding that to which he would be normally entitled by 10%.
Piece Work. The intent of piece work is to reward employees for completion of tasks at an accelerated rate, and is an incentive based pay scale. Piece work rates are based on the belief that all piece work can be completed on a condensed timeline at a greater equivalent pay rate. Piece work allows the Employer to control costs for projects, which allows for a greater opportunity to acquire projects. For all work that is considered piece work, all terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement apply amended as follows:
