You may apply to the Registered Training Organisation nominated by the Company for recognition of prior learning for a qualification or competency listed on the scope of its registration. We will give you reasonable assistance to gain the recognition you are entitled to based on your prior learning with us.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING. 16.1 The use of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will be closely monitored by the Department, as the attainment of any qualification funded under the Agreement is expected to comprise substantial skill and knowledge development, rather than large amounts of RPL activity. Where much of the qualification is likely to be achieved through RPL, the Department expects that the Recipient will assess and support the Participant to enrol instead in a higher-level qualification to ensure that skill levels are increased.

Donegal will further progress initiatives around the recognition of prior learning. ― DETB piloted an RPL project with Defence Forces in 2016 and 2017 (NFQ L3 and L5) and is involved in XXXXX, a national RPL project with Defence Forces which arose from the pilot; and with XXXXX, a QQI-led KA3 Erasmus+ policy experimentation project which addresses the Recognition of Prior Learning for adults with low levels of qualifications and ultimately aims to inform RPL policy for such adults at national and European level. ― RPL initiatives will be expanded from 2018. Current planned actions include ― RPL of existing skills at NFQ L5 with 5 groups - employees from Defence Forces, ICT and Engineering sector companies, and two voluntary community groups. ― A further blended learning programme (incorporating direct tuition and RPL) will be delivered to the Defence Forces, accrediting transversal skills (leadership, motivating and mentoring) at NFQ L5 & L6.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING. 3.6.1 New Employees may apply to the Employer under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) guidelines to have skills and competencies that had been gained prior to employment with the Employer, assessed for pay purposes.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING. (RPL) Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) means recognition of competencies currently held, regardless of how, when or where a learner’s learning occurred. Under the Australian Quality Training Framework, competencies may be attained in a number of ways. This includes through any combination of formal or informal training and education, work experience or general life experience. In order to grant RPL, the Colour Cosmetica Academy assessor must be confident that the learner is currently competent against the endorsed industry or enterprise competency standards or outcomes specified in Australian Qualifications Framework accredited courses. The evidence may take a variety of forms and could include certification, references from past employers, testimonials from clients and work samples. The Colour Cosmetica Academy assessor must ensure that the evidence provided is authentic, valid, reliable, current and sufficient.
