The Employer recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for the purpose of establishing salaries, wages, hours and other conditions of employment and the administration of grievances arising thereunder for the term of this agreement for all employees covered by this agreement in all classifications as determined by the New York State Public Employment Relations Board to be in the bargaining unit.   • Union Membership Every employee who is now or hereafter becomes a member of the Union shall maintain membership in the Union as a condition of employment, and every new employee whose employment commences hereafter shall, within thirty (30) days after the commencement of employment, apply for and maintain membership in the Union, as a condition of employment, provided that any employee in the appropriate bargaining unit, who is not required to maintain membership or apply for and maintain membership in the Union, shall, as a condition of employment, tender to the Union the periodic dues uniformly required to be paid by the members of the Union.

Clause 2.07 The Employer shall, for direct collective bargaining prior to Conciliation, pay the normal wages and benefits for maximum of three (3) employees who are members of the Union Negotiating Committee for a total of one hundred and twenty (120) hours and thereafter pay fifty percent (50%) of normal wages and full benefits.
