Release Time for the Association President. The Association President will not be assigned to any non-teaching duties (i.e. lunch duty, recess duty, homeroom) during his or her tenure as president. This release time is provided to attend to both district and Association matters.

Release Time for the Association President. Middle and high school Professional Staff Members elected as the BEA President will be afforded daily release time with full salary and benefits paid by the District equivalent to the length of one (1) full class period. Preschool and elementary Professional Staff Members elected as The BEA President will be afforded daily release time with full salary and benefits paid by the District equivalent to the length of one (1) full class period or up to nineteen (19) association liaison days per school year. This time is to be used for conducting school business as directed by the Superintendent, and should be scheduled in a manner that is mutually agreeable to both the Association President and the building principal. If the two parties are unable to come to a scheduling agreement, the issue will be submitted to the Superintendent for a final, binding decision. No appeal of this decision will be considered. At the expiration of the Association President's term of office, he/she shall return to the teaching position and schedule that he/she held prior to the release time.

Release Time for the Association President. ‌‌ During any school year, the Association president may elect to use 0.2, 0.4, or 0.6 release time in addition to their allocation of three hundred thirty (330) hours for Association business. The utilization of such hours will be mutually agreed upon between the building administrator and the Association president.‌ The Association will reimburse the District on a prorated basis for the actual release time utilized.‌ The District will xxxx the Association for these costs and the Association will render payment within ten (10) days and the District will reimburse the building when appropriate.‌
Release Time for the Association President. Upon request to the appropriate Xxxx/Director by June 1, the Association President shall be granted up to a fifty percent (50%) release from their regular hours of work for the following twenty-four (24) months to attend to Association business. Arrangements for the release will be made with the individual’s Xxxx/Director with the assistance of Human Resources, if necessary. This provision is in addition to any other release time provided for in the collective agreement. The release time shall be without any loss of salary, benefits, or seniority to the individual. The Association shall reimburse the individual’s Faculty/Department on a monthly basis for the wages, benefits and other costs related to the President’s leave of absence. Should there be a change to the President of the Association during the year, one month’s notice shall be provided indicating the return of the previous President, and one month’s notice shall be provided should the new President request a release.
