Released Time President. The President shall be granted full time (1.0) release of their work year. The District shall make salary and all other benefit payments to and on behalf of the President on released time as if they were not on released time, provided that the Association shall reimburse the District for those salary and insurance costs. Retirement benefits shall be in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Department of Retirement Systems. The President shall be returned to their former position, or equivalent position with equivalent pay, upon completion of their term of office.

A mutually agreed upon plan for classroom coverage will be outlined in a letter of understanding. The District shall make salary and all other benefit payments to and on behalf of the president on released time as if he or she was not on released time, provided that the Association shall reimburse the District for substitute costs. The President shall be returned to a similar position upon completion of his or her term of office. Similar position shall mean same school and grade at the elementary level and same school and department at the secondary level. See letter of understanding attached to this agreement. Any employee serving in a regional, state or national position shall be granted an additional fifteen

The President shall be returned to a similar position upon completion of his or her term of office. Similar position shall mean same school and grade at the elementary level and same school and department at the secondary level. See letter of understanding attached to this agreement. Any employee serving in a regional, state or national position shall be granted an additional fifteen (15) days of release time, provided that the Association reimburses the District for such costs. Such leave shall not be deducted from Association Leave time.
