Association Leave Time. In the event that the Union desires to send representatives to local, state, or national conferences, or other pertinent business they shall be excused, without loss of pay or benefits, upon approval of the AIU Executive Board up to a maximum of six (6) days per academic year in total at no cost to the College. An additional two (2) days may be used through Article 10, section 2d. Notice to the appropriate Xxxx will be made in writing a minimum of ten (10) school days prior to the event.

Association Leave Time. Section 8.11.1 Up to eight (8) days total leave shall be allowed for the Association President(s), or his/her/their alternates, for Association business. Additional days or leaves may be granted at the Superintendent’s discretion. Association Leave Time. ALLOTMENT - A total of sixteen (16) hours per school fiscal year shall be allocated to an Association Officer (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, or Xxxxxxx) or their designee(s) to attend special meetings, conventions and seminars or any other functions or activities sponsored by the Association or the state-wide organization with prior notification to the Superintendent without loss of pay. If the Association determines that more than the sixteen (16) hours are necessary for leave, said additional hours will only be granted as unpaid hours or with the reimbursement by the Association to the District for any and all salary costs incurred for hours in excess of sixteen (16) hours per school fiscal year. Association leave time not used may accrue to a maximum of forty (40) hours. The Association Officer or their designee must provide the Superintendent with a minimum of ten (10) working days notice of intent to use Association Leave Time unless the need for such time arises under emergency conditions.
Association Leave Time. The Association President shall have up to three (3) days of paid leave per school year to conduct GFA / school related business. School related business shall not include the processing of grievances or arbitrations.

  • Association Leave A total of 10 days of leave with pay during the current school year shall be granted the Association for use by the Association. A maximum of four additional days may be used for Association leave and the substitute’s salary will be reimbursed to the Board by the Association. The President of the Association will notify the Superintendent as to the educators and dates involved at least five (5) days before such leave is desired.

  • Association Leaves 1. The Board will provide the Association President or their designee with forty (40) days of paid release time during the course of the school year in order to conduct Association Business. The Association shall reimburse the Board for the cost of any substitute required as the result of any such released time which exceeds forty (40) days during the course of the school year.

  • Federation Leave A leave of absence for the president and a second position of the Federation shall be granted to any employee covered by this Agreement upon application by the Federation for the purpose of the employee serving as an officer of the Federation. The District shall continue to pay such employee(s) and provide benefits, with the exception of leave benefits, but will be reimbursed by the Federation for the cost of salary and fringe benefits. Upon return from such leaves, an employee shall proceed on the salary schedule as if s/he had been employed with the District each year of the leave. The Federation agrees to consider carefully each request for release time for Federation members. Although leaves for short terms without loss of pay may be granted upon approval by the Office of the Superintendent, the Federation shall reimburse the District for the cost of salaries and fringe benefits.

  • Association Membership In accordance with applicable laws, the Employer/Appointing Authority shall not discriminate against, interfere with, restrain or coerce an employee from exercising their right to join or not to join the Association, or participate in an official capacity on behalf of the Association, which is in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. The Association shall not discriminate against, interfere with, restrain or coerce an employee from exercising the right to join or not to join the Association, and will not discriminate against any employee in the administration of this Agreement because of non- membership in the Association.

  • Education Leave (a) If required by the Employer, an employee shall be entitled to leave of absence with pay and without loss of seniority and benefits to write examinations to upgrade his or her employment qualifications.

  • Vacation Leave A part-time employee shall earn vacation leave credits for each month in which the employee receives pay for at least twice the number of hours in the employee’s normal workweek, at the rate for years of service established in clause 34.02 of this Agreement, prorated and calculated as follows:
