REST PERIODS AND DAYS OFF. 15.1 For all departments, there shall be a ten(10)hour rest period (nine hours for the Transportation Department) between the ending of one call and the beginning of the next call.
15.2 The minimum amount of time off on a five-day workweek shall be 56 consecutive hours free from work each week unless Section 12.10 applies.
15.3 The minimum amount of time off on a six-day workweek shall be 34 consecutive hours free from work each week. When the sixth (6th) day worked occurs on the seventh (7th) day of the regular work week, there shall be a continuous thirty-four (34) hour rest period between the end of the shift on the fifth (5th) day and the commencement of the shift on the seventh (7th) day of the work week. Otherwise, turnaround penalties will occur. There shall be no reduction of turnaround allowed on a weekend of less than two days.
15.4 The minimum amount of time off on a seven-day workweek shall be 11 hours free from work
15.5 When an Employee works a minimum call day per section 12.3, the rest period shall commence at the time the employee ceases work.
REST PERIODS AND DAYS OFF. (a) All Employees shall have a ten (10) hour rest period (nine (9) hours for Transportation) between the ending of one day’s work and the beginning of the next day’s work. On Features only, when Employees are working on daily locations outside the Studio Zone, there shall be an eleven (11) hour rest period (ten (10) hours for Transportation) between the ending of one day’s work and the beginning of the next day’s work. Also on Features only, in the event that the next day’s work takes place in its entirety within the Studio Zone, then a ten and one-half (10½) hour rest period (nine (9) hours for Transportation) shall apply.
(b) The minimum amount of time off on a five (5) day work week shall be fifty (50) consecutive hours for television productions and, for feature productions, fifty-two (52) consecutive hours free from work.
(c) The minimum amount of time off on a six (6) day work week shall be thirty-four (34) consecutive hours free from work.
(d) When the sixth (6th) day worked occurs on the seventh (7th) day of the regular work week, there shall be a continuous thirty-four (34) hour rest period between the end of the shift on the fifth (5th) day and the commencement of the shift on the seventh (7th) day of the work week.
(e) The minimum amount of time off on a seven (7) day regular work week shall be twelve (12) consecutive hours free from work.
(f) In the event of a Statutory or Proclaimed Holiday, the minimum amount of time off shall include an additional twenty-four (24) hour period.
(g) For Features only, in the event that an Employee works sixteen (16) hours from his/her call (i.e., hours worked as opposed to elapsed), the minimum amount of time off shall be twelve

e) All hours of an Employee’s rest period which are infringed upon shall be paid at two (2) times one-sixtieth (1/60th) of the weekly contracted rate. Such payment shall be in addition to the weekly contracted rate and be calculated in six- (6) minute increments.
a) Work performed in excess of the normal workday shall be paid as overtime. Such payment shall be in addition to the daily contracted rate and is calculated in six- (6) minute increments
b) Overtime pay for work performed after twelve (12) hours on days one (1) through five (5) shall be paid at two (2) times one-sixtieth (1/60th) of the weekly contracted rate. Such payment shall be in addition to the weekly contracted rate and is calculated in six- (6) minute increments.
c) In order to discourage excessively long workdays, overtime pay for work performed after fourteen (14) hours on days one (1) through five (5) shall be paid at three (3) times one- sixtieth (1/60th) of the weekly contracted rate. Such payment shall be in addition to the weekly contracted rate and is calculated in six- (6) minute increments.
d) Overtime pay for work performed after twelve (12) hours on days six (6) and seven (7) shall be paid at three (3) times one-sixtieth (1/60th) of the weekly contracted rate. Such payment shall be in addition to the weekly contracted rate and is calculated in six- (6) minute increments.
e) At no time shall the aggregate applicable overtime penalty exceed three (3) times the straight time basic contracted hourly rate.
REST PERIODS AND DAYS OFF. The text of section 13 of the collective labour agreement concerning daily rest should be amended as follows: During the 24 hours following the start of each shift, the em- ployee must be given an uninterrupted rest period of at least 11 hours. For period-based work, the minimum uninterrupted rest period is 10 hours, unless a minimum daily rest period of 9 hours is agreed locally. The temporary shortening of the daily rest period requires an agreement between the employer and the employee. In this case, the daily rest period is replaced by a simple hourly wage, unless otherwise agreed locally. The compensation is paid to the extent that the daily rest period is less than 11 or 9 hours, depending on the form of work. If an employee's daily rest period is less than 11 hours, the employee must be given compensatory rest periods for the shortened daily rest period at the next daily rest period or, if this is not possible for weighty reasons due to the organisa- tion of work, as soon as possible, but within 14 days. The compensatory rest period shall be provided in a continuous manner.

(A) There shall be a 12 hour rest period between the end of employment on one day and the beginning of employment on the next day, except the rest period leading into the final day before the first paid public performance which may be 10 hours for all Actors, including Stage Managers. (The rest period leading into the day of the first paid public performance shall be 12 hours.) Any violation of the rest break will be compensated at 1 ½ times the Actor’s overtime (over 40 hours) rate.
(B) Between Performances
(1) Whenever there is less than one and one-half hours between curtain down and half hour, the Producer shall pay the Actors the sum of one and a half times the overtime (over 40 hours) rate for each ½ hour or part thereof.
(2) Under no circumstances may there be no less than one (1) hour between twi-night performances from the close of the first performance to the start of the second performance and the Producer shall provide a choice of hot or cold meal (including a vegetarian meal, if requested). The cost of such a meal shall be no less than $12. Actor shall have a choice of receiving the meal or $12. This option is to be exercised no later than the performance on the day preceding the day of the twi-night performance.
(3) In addition to the aforementioned, the penalty for an infringement of this one
(1) hour rest period will be an additional payment based on the pro-ration of the guaranteed number of performances in the week (i.e.; 1/5th for a five performance week).

REST PERIODS AND DAYS OFF.
(A) Rest Periods. (See also Section 43(D)(2).)
(1) There shall be a rest period of not less than 12 hours between the end of employment on one day and the beginning of employment on the next day, except for a travel call on the next day, in which case the rest period shall be no less than 10 hours.
(2) Time traveled after performance from the theatre to the first hotel in excess of 20 minutes shall be added to the overnight rest period. If travel the following day will be by bus or other over the road transport, eastward across a time zone boundary, then the rest period between the final curtain (or termination of travel) on the previous day and the bus call on the next day may be reduced one hour without penalty so that the bus call on the following day may be one hour earlier than would otherwise be permitted. Total travel hour limitations and required breaks must be observed.
