Day Workweek. Overtime shall be defined as all hours in paid status in excess of ten (10) hours per day; or hours in paid status in excess of forty (40) hours per week; and work performed on the fifth (5th), sixth (6th) and seventh (7th) day following commencement of that worker's workweek; or on a holiday. Day Workweek. Employees or supervisors may propose a 4-day workweek, 10 hour days (an) during the summer months and during the spring break. Proposals will be made with reasonable advanced notice in order to arrange the schedules. Employees will make their requests to their immediate supervisors. 4/10 schedules must be mutually agreed upon by the employee and the immediate supervisor. If other employees are impacted by this schedule they will be given the opportunity to provide input prior to the decision being made. Any week that contains a paid holiday will not be worked on a 4/10 schedule. Split-Shift: If necessary, the District may initiate a split-shift. A split-shift is defined as a shift with more than an hour of consecutive down time between two segments of work time. District initiated means that the job was posted as a split-shift or the District re-scheduled a current employee’s shift. If an employee, who is currently not working a split-shift, is assigned to one the District will give the employee the first right to refuse the assignment and the District shall make every effort to reassign or cause a job trade to happen for that employee. An employee assigned to a split-shift shall receive differential pay for his/her entire shift (see Article 25.8). Employees exempt from this section are school bus drivers, bus attendants, and employees who apply for and are hired for two or more part-time positions.

Day Workweek. The Employer and the Union agree that management may establish a 4-day workweek for Full- time Operators guaranteed thirty-five to forty (35-40) hours of work per week.   • Workweek A regularly re-occurring period of one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours consisting of seven (7) consecutive twenty-four (24) hour periods. Workweeks will normally begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 12:00 midnight the following Saturday or as otherwise designated by the appointing authority. If there is a change in their workweek, employees will be given written notification by the appointing authority or their designee.

  • Holiday Work Employees who work on a holiday shall receive one and one-half (1-1/2) times their straight time regular rate of pay for all hours actually worked on the holiday, plus holiday pay.

  • Standard Work Week (a) Except as provided below, the standard work week for Full-time Employees shall normally consist of 35 hours per week, which shall normally consist of 5 equal Shifts of 7 hours. (b) The standard work week for certain Full-time Employees, including but not limited to, technical Employees, shall normally consist of 37.5 hours per week, which shall normally consist of 5 equal Shifts of 7.5 hours.
