Rights of the University. The University has the right to general supervision of the institution and the control and direction of all expenditures from the institution's funds. The University reserves and retains, solely and exclusively, all rights to manage, direct and supervise the University's work force, including, but not limited to, the right to hire, promote, demote, discipline, suspend, discharge, reclassify, transfer or lay off employees or to reduce or increase the size of the working force; to change the type of the working force; to change duties of employees; to make reasonable judgments as to the ability and skill of employees; to schedule means and materials to be used in accomplishing work and the constitutional purposes for which the University is organized; to make assignments and determine work to be done; to set the duties and responsibilities of employees; and to control the University property.
Rights of the University. (a) establishes the operating terms and conditions of doctoral studies, the interruption and the extension of doctoral studies, the enrolment and expulsion of the doctoral student;
(b) monitors the manner in which the doctoral student fulfils their obligations as a doctoral student, as stipulated in their Course of Study Plan, henceforth referred to as the Course of Study Plan, as well as the obligations assumed in the present Agreement;
(c) it establishes the tuition fee for each academic year and the fee for the defence of the doctoral thesis, in accordance with the schooling costs, within the economic and legal frame at that time;
(d) each year, it decides on the payment procedure and the payment deadlines for the tuition fee.

MANAGEMENT RIGHTS - The University has the right to the general supervision of the Institution and the control and direction of the expenditures from the Institution's funds. The University, by this Agreement, reserves and retains, solely and exclusively all rights to manage, direct and supervise the University's work force and affairs, and retains solely its management rights and functions except as they are clearly and expressly limited or abridged by this Agreement.

In addition, the arbitrary or capricious implementation of a rule, regulation or requirement shall be subject to review in the grievance and arbitration procedures.
Rights of the University. The representatives of the UNIVERSITY shall have the right to gain access to the Research site and the patient records and other documents related to the Research in order to ensure correctness of the Research records and the proper conduct of the Research. The informed consent of the participants is required for the use of documents containing their personal data. T he investigators shall co-operate with the UNIVERSITY relating to the aforementioned monitoring visits and audits. No separate compensation shall be paid to the investigators for the potential additional work due to monitoring and audits.

Rights of the University. The Union recognizes the right of the University to manage its operations and to plan, direct, and control the policies and conditions of employment of its employees insofar as such policies are not inconsistent with the express provisions of this Agreement or established policy. Among the rights retained by the University are the University's right to direct the working forces; to plan, direct and control all operations and services of the Division of Public Safety (hereinafter referred to as the “Division”); to schedule and assign work; to establish work and productivity standards and to, from time to time, change those standards; to assign overtime; to determine the methods, means, organization and number of personnel by which such operations and services are to be conducted; to determine whether goods or services shall be made or purchased; to make and enforce reasonable rules and regulations; to change or eliminate existing methods, equipment or facilities.

In no event shall the terms of the second sentence of this paragraph in any way limit the constitutional mandates placed on the University. AID TO OTHER LABOR ORGANIZATION OP6-1 The University will not aid, promote or finance any labor group or organization which purports to engage in collective bargaining or make any agreement with any such group or organization for the purpose of undermining the Union.
