Safety and Well Being. Employees will report all actual or potential safety hazards to their immediate supervisors and union representatives so they can be investigated and corrected.
Safety and Well Being. The safety and well-being of Staff and Children at Remuera Montessori is our utmost priority. Violence, harassment, rudeness or aggressiveness towards any staff member or child will not be tolerated.
Safety and Well Being. A. The classroom teacher shall make every effort to call to the attention of the immediate administrator any hazardous working condition of the physical school.
1. The immediate supervisor shall investigate said reported unsafe condition and advise those unit members in writing of any findings and suggested corrective action.
2. If the reported condition is not fixed within three (3) days of the receipt of the form by the Director of Maintenance and Operations, the District will let the employee know what the timeline will be or why it will not be fixed.
3. Members shall not be required to work in unsafe or hazardous conditions, or to perform tasks which endanger their health, safety, or well-being.
B. Each teacher shall be provided with a Standard Red Cross first aid kit for his/her classroom use.
C. Members shall be provided with a cabinet or drawer that has the availability to lock for the purpose of storing their personal items.
D. Members shall be provided with lighting and security at night functions that are part of their duties, adjunct or otherwise.
E. The District will post rewards for certain crimes.
F. Pursuant to Education code 49079, the District shall:
1. District shall inform members who have an educational interest of every student who has engaged in, or is reasonably suspected of, actions that at any time during the previous three (3) years which could constitute grounds for suspension or expulsion under Education Code 48900.
2. Maintain and update records of this information on a continuous basis. Members who have an educational interest will be informed of these updates in a timely manner. Any record entry will have its author explicitly stated.

Safety and Well Being. Employees have a right to a positive and productive working environment. Bullying, harassment, intimidation or physical harm is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. Assistance will be provided to employees to achieve that right.

An employee will not be required to perform any duty or act or to work under conditions which a reasonable person would judge to endanger the employee’s health, well-being, or physical safety. The District, after seeking input from employees, may provide safety related articles such as reflective vests, hard hats, or special purpose coveralls. Prior approval from the supervisor must be attained; purchasing protocol followed and shall remain the property of the District. The items provided shall be used for work duties at the District only. All licensure, excluding standard license, i.e., drivers, and medical exams required by the Employer shall be provided at the Employer’s expense. The annual asbestos physical will be scheduled in January of each year. The District shall carry Industrial Accident insurance on all employees. Employees must, within 24 hours, report in writing all personal injuries received in the courses of their employment to their immediate supervisor and to the Payroll Clerk. Employees will report all safety hazards to their immediate supervisor in writing so that the alleged hazard(s) can be investigated.
Safety and Well Being. In response to the pandemic, we developed and implemented new practices designed to prioritize the health and safety of our employees and clients. In March of 2020, we halted travel, closed all offices and shifted to a work-from- home approach, reopening offices only when local governments deemed it safe and even then, required adherence to social distancing protocols, offered access to personal protective equipment, established occupancy limits, enhanced cleaning procedures and increased visibility and access to mental health and other wellness offerings.
Safety and Well Being. (a) Each Coach must make an appropriate referral to a Mental Health Professional or Emergency Service Professional at an early point of recognizing situations in which clients may put their own safety or well-being at risk, or the safety or well-being of others at risk, and in severe situations the Coach must contact a Mental Health Crisis Service or Emergency Service on behalf of the client.
(b) Coaches must not attempt to diagnose or assess any mental health issue or specific problem where clients may put themselves or others at risk, but must act solely out of their personal experience, as coaches are not trained or licensed to make such diagnoses or assessments.
(c) Coaches must notify the appropriate authorities when a client discloses that they are harming or endangering another individual or group. The coach must also attempt to notify the person or group who is being harmed or endangered. The Coach does not need to discern if a mental health problem is present or in fact if the current or imminent harm is in fact illegal.
Safety and Well Being. During the retreat, if Your behavior presents a threat to the safety of yourself or others, BM reserves the right to physically restrain You. Guest restraint will be conducted with priority given to the safety of You and other guests and secondly to Your comfort and dignity.
