Scheduling of Statutory Holidays. Subject to the operational requirements of the Employer, reasonably applied, statutory holidays whenever possible will be scheduled for a time which is mutually agreeable to the Employer and the employee concerned. A regular employee will receive either Christmas Day or New Year's Day off unless the employee requests to work both days and this is agreed to by the Employer.

Scheduling of Statutory Holidays. For the purpose of this Letter of Understanding, statutory holidays outlined in Article 39.01 of the Collective Agreement are incorporated into the work schedules during off-duty days. All such statutory holidays shall be identified and recorded in ink in the nursing staff work schedules on the basis of seven point two (7.2) paid hours. Every effort shall be made to spread the statutory holidays off evenly throughout the year.
