School District Calendar. The School District calendar shall be a schedule of duty days established each year by the School District prior to May 1 for the succeeding school year. Upon timely request, the School District shall meet with the Exclusive Representative to prepare the calendar. The School District calendar shall be a part of the School District Policy and shall not be a part of this Agreement. A committee of the following membership shall be organized for the purposes of preparing the School District calendar for presentation to the school board for approval: A. The superintendent or designee; B. Two persons appointed by the Board of Trustees; C. Four members of the Exclusive Representative appointed by the representative president. The Board may close school for one school day each school year because of an unforeseen emergency and teachers shall not be required to make up time lost. Subsequent time lost due to emergency closure shall be made up as determined by the Board.

School District Calendar. The District will give bargaining unit employees the opportunity to give input with regard to the development of the school calendar. The Association will propose a calendar to the District by March 1st. If the District and the Association cannot agree on a calendar by April 15th, the District will guarantee the Association input on any calendar option. The input period will be 10 days if prior to June 1st and five (5) days if after June 1st.
School District Calendar. Following the agreed to recommendations of the District calendar committee, the Association will propose a multi-year calendar to the District by March 1 with proposed input/response received by March 15. A mutually agreed calendar will be bargained on or before April 15. The student year is to start the Wednesday after Labor Day unless mutually agreed by the District and Association. The District calendar shall also provide a number of workdays consistent with 5.16, Holidays while reflecting the needs of the educational community. In the event of closure of school due to any unforeseeable act of nature (snow, etc.), power failure or other circumstance(s) resulting in the loss of school time, the District, will use days subsequent to the end of the school calendar for makeup day(s), unless other date(s) are mutually agreed upon by the District and the Association. In the event that two (2) or fewer schools are closed for whatever reason, employees at those schools shall report to a designated meeting place for daily assignment.

  • School Calendar The Dual Credit course schedule will be determined by the location of the course delivery, provided that the required contact hours and prerequisites are met. The instructional calendar for the high school portion of the School will be based on the School District calendar and comply with all related TEA regulations for school attendance. The School District will adjust its schedule as necessary to enable Students to enroll in and attend the college- level courses provided by College. The School District and College will coordinate the State Student assessment requirements to ensure said assessments are administered without penalty. The School District, School and College will ensure that the School calendar accounts for the required per-semester contact hours for courses. When the instructional delivery is on the College site, it may be necessary for Students to attend classes on days when the School District is closed (e.g., different holiday closures). When Students take classes at the College scheduled on days when School is closed, the School District will ensure that at least one staff member with administrative authority be on call and available to be reached by the College’s Office of High School Programs or other College staff in case of emergency. The designated School staff member will have access to Student emergency contact information. While the College agrees to make scheduling accommodations for required State assessments, including the STAAR and End of Course Exams, all contact hour requirements must be met. For assessments not mandated by the State, the College and School District will come to a mutual agreement on administration dates in order to appropriately manage disruptions of college courses and ensure contact hour requirements are met.

  • School District For purposes of administering this Agreement, the term "School District" shall mean the School Board or its designated representative.

  • Regulation of School District Expenses The Board regulates the reimbursement of all travel, meal, and lodging expenses in the District by resolution. No later than approval of the annual budget and when necessary, the Superintendent will recommend a maximum allowable reimbursement amount for expenses to be included in the resolution. The recommended amount should be based upon the District's budget and other financial considerations.

  • ALTERNATE SCHOOL CALENDAR 1. In this article, an alternative school calendar is a school calendar that differs from the standard school calendar as specified in Schedule 1 (Supplement) of the School Calendar Regulation 114/02. 2.
