Section 10.9.5. 24 A temporary employee, upon completion of twenty-five (25) workdays of employment in the same 25 assignment shall be eligible for the following benefits on the same basis as a regular 26 employee: holidays, sick leave, bereavement leave, health and welfare (per SEBB), retirement (if 27 eligible per DRS rules), longevity and open positions. Temporary employees hired by December 1 28 into a temporary position that is scheduled to continue for the remainder of the school year will 29 additionally be granted Family Illness/Personal/Emergency Leave as described in Section 9.2.
Section 10.9.5In the event of layoff, employees so affected are to be placed on a reemployment list maintained 18 by the District according to layoff ranking. Such employees are to have preference, provided they 19 have the qualifications and skills, in filling a substantially equal vacant position in the 20 classification held immediately prior to layoff. Names shall remain on the reemployment list for 21 two (2) years. Employees in layoff status electing to fill a position that is not substantially equal 22 shall retain rights to be on the re-employment list.
Section 10.9.5. An employee on layoff status who rejects an offer of re-employment forfeits seniority and all 34 other accrued benefits; provided, that such employee is offered a position substantially equal to 35 that held prior to layoff.
