(ii) 1230 - 2100 hours Monday - Friday inclusive with 1/2 hour meal allowance in winter months per Article 10 -1(a). b) Standby for Serviceman Hours of standby Monday to Thursday 2100 hours to 0800 hours and Friday 2100 hours to 0800 hours Monday. c) In the event of an emergency after 2130 hours the Serviceman on call shall handle the work and receive a minimum of two (2) hours at overtime rate.

SERVICEMEN. (MES) must have practical working experience in the residential and/or commercial mechanical equipment and/or plumbing service field. They may be required to pass a qualifying exam for Servicemen or a qualifying plumbing exam as to their skills. Their scope of work shall include all work necessary to keep existing residential, unitary and plumbing systems operating in an efficient manner. For the purpose of further developing their technical skills, Servicemen may assist Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal and absorption machines, screw chillers and ammonia systems. Servicemen may attain Journeymen status with sufficient training and work experience and/or have attained all applicable plumbing Journeymen licenses as required in their local jurisdiction. A Serviceman’s duties can be modified through an approved Schedule “A.”
SERVICEMEN. Servicemen shall be qualified to perform the following work: lubricating (excluding oil changes or brake adjustments) and fuelling vehicles; washing, polishing and cleaning vehicles, parts, units and equipment; checking tires, lights and seats; and general utility work, and assist mechanics as required.. SERVICEMEN. The Employer request for a serviceman with special skills and abilities shall be honored by name from the out-of-work list. Such request shall be in writing, signed by the Employer, prior to referral of the employee. A person called to work service shall work not less than 24 hours a week on service or not less than 96 hours a month on service. Further, when an Employee is requested by name for service, said Employee must be employed as a serviceman for the duration of employment.

(c) Wheeled or track-laying equipment shall not be operated in Streamcourses, except at crossings desig- nated by Forest Service or as essential to construction or removal of culverts and bridges. (d) Flow in Streamcourses may be temporarily di- verted only if such diversion is necessary for Purchaser’s planned construction and Forest Service gives written au- thorization. Such flow shall be restored to the natural course as soon as practicable and, in any event, prior to a major storm runoff period or runoff season.

  • Retraining (a) Where a skill shortage is identified, the employer may offer a surplus employee retraining to meet that skill shortage with financial assistance up to the maintenance of full salary plus appropriate training expenses. It may not be practical to offer retraining to some employees identified as surplus. The employer needs to make decisions on the basis of cost, the availability of appropriate training schemes and the suitability of individuals for retraining. (b) If an employee is redeployed to a position which is similar to his or her previous one, any retraining may be minimal, taking the form of "on the job" training such as induction or in service education. Where an employee is deployed to a new occupation or a dissimilar position the employer should consider such forms of retraining as in-service education, block courses or night courses at a technical institute, nursing bridging programmes, etc.
