Shift Employee Holidays. A. Employees assigned to the patrol division as shift personnel who are eligible for holiday pay, as provided in Section 2 above, shall be compensated for City-designated holidays in the following manner: 1. If the shift employee is assigned to and actually works a shift which begins on the date of an actual holiday, he shall be paid at the holiday differential rate equal to 1 1/2 times his regular base hourly rate for all hours actually worked on that shift, in addition to holiday pay as provided above in Section 2. All hours paid at the holiday differential rate will be considered hours actually worked for purposes of computing overtime in that week. The holiday differential rate will not apply to hours worked on the holiday for which the employee is guaranteed overtime pay such as standby or emergency call-in. 2. If an actual holiday occurs on a day on which the shift employee does not work a shift beginning on the holiday, he shall receive holiday pay as provided above in Section 2, with no further compensation for the day. If a holiday results in overtime for the week, the employee may elect to take that overtime in the form of compensatory time.

  • Vacation; Holidays The Executive shall be entitled to all public holidays observed by the Company and vacation days in accordance with the applicable vacation policies for senior executives of the Company, which shall be taken at a reasonable time or times.

  • Vacation, Holidays and Sick Leave During the Term, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation, paid holidays and sick leave in accordance with the Company's standard policies for its senior executive officers.

The entitlement will be calculated on the annual leave anniversary date. Qualifying shifts are defined as a shift which involves at least 2 hours work performed outside the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding overtime.   • Holidays Worked When an employee works on a calendar holiday, he/she shall receive payment of the holiday at the regular rate and in addition, at the discretion of the Employer, (1) be paid at the rate of time and one half for hours actually worked on the holiday or (2) be given compensatory time off equal to one and one half the number of hours actually worked.

  • Religious Holidays When a religious holiday, not observed as a holiday, as provided in Section 2 above, falls on a supervisor's regularly scheduled work day, the supervisor shall be entitled to that day off to observe the religious holiday. Time to observe religious holidays shall be taken without pay except where the supervisor has sufficient accumulated vacation leave or accumulated compensatory time, or, by mutual consent, is able to make the time up. Supervisors shall notify the Appointing Authority at least twenty-eight (28) calendar days prior to the leave.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday. (c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.

  • PAID HOLIDAYS (a) A full-time employee who otherwise qualifies hereunder shall receive the following paid holidays:

  • Overtime Holidays Double time the regular rate for work on the following holiday(s). New Year's Day

  • Part-Time Employees Employees who are scheduled to work less than forty (40) hours per workweek.
