Sick Leave Grant. A Professional Employee with professional teacher status who may have used up all of his/her accrued sick leave during a given year, may be granted fifteen (15) days sick leave when he/she reports for duty on the first day of school of the next school year, upon petition to the Superintendent, subject to the approval of the Committee. An additional fifteen (15) days may accrue as heretofore provided.

Sick Leave Grant. Full-time employees, will be granted fifty-six (56) hours of sick leave on October 1 of each year. Sick leave not used by the following October 1 will be carried over by the employee. For this transition, employees will continue to accrue sick leave through September 30, 2023. On October 1, 2023 a fifty-six (56) hour sick leave grant will be made. New hires receive a pro- rata grant based on the number of months remaining in the year prior to the next following October 1st divided by 12 months. Part time employees receive one (1) hour of sick leave for every thirty (30) hours worked. There will be no maximum accrual limit on sick leave any accrued however, unused sick leave will not be paid out to the employee upon termination from the Company.

  • Sick Leave The employee is eligible for long term disability benefits if provided for in the Collective Agreement. An employee will not receive pay for the first two (2) weeks of any period of absence due to a legitimate illness. The employee may utilize the paid holiday bank as income replacement for absences due to illness, as described in Article (c) above. An employee who is eligible may apply for Employment Insurance for weeks three (3) through seventeen (17) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. The Home will provide the employee with Disability Income Protection as per Article 14.01 (c) for weeks eighteen (18) through thirty (30) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. Employees may be required to provide medical proof of illness for any absence of a scheduled shift, which is neither vacation nor an approved leave of absence.

  • Sick Leave Pay A Nurse granted sick leave shall be paid for the period of such leave at her or his regular hourly rate of pay and the number of hours thus paid shall be deducted from the accumulated sick leave credits of the Nurse.
