Social Distancing Requirements. While the Covid-19 related State emergency is in effect, Permittee(s) shall adhere to the Covid-19 social distancing protocols, health and safety precautions and best practices established by the State of California, County of San Mateo Health Officer and Town of Portola Valley, as may be modified by time to time, relative to outdoor facilities use, day camps, shared equipment and all activities covered by this permit. Safety precautions include but are not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, social distancing requirements, symptom checks and tracking attendance.

Social Distancing Requirements. Both parties recognize that ongoing adherence to the guidelines of state and local public health officials will continue to be a requirement. In the interest of serving students on campus, any previous agreement on social distancing is amended to conform to current January 19, 2021 California Public Health Department guidelines. Maximize space between seating and desks. Distance teacher and other staff desks at least 6 feet away from student and other staff desks. Distance student chairs at least 6 feet away from one another, except where 6 feet of distance is not possible after a good-faith effort has been made. Upon request by the local health department and/or State Safe Schools Team, the superintendent should be prepared to demonstrate that good-faith effort, including an effort to consider all outdoor/indoor space options and hybrid learning models. Under no circumstances should the distance between student chairs be less than 4 feet. Classroom groups that reduce social distancing below 6 feet will be considered only on a case by case basis. Both parties agree to confer if public health guidance about social distancing is amended in the future.
Social Distancing Requirements. Venues and event spaces must: • Limit the persons present, not including employees, in any venue or event space to 50% of the maximum permitted occupancy capacity of the venue or event space. All individuals in the venue or event space must be able to maintain six (6) feet of space from everyone who is not a member of their household. If the venue or event space is not able to maintain six (6) feet of space between attendees or households at 50% capacity, the venue or event space must limit the number of individuals in the area or space to the greatest number that permits proper social distancing. Additionally, venues and event spaces should plan for and encourage attendees to appropriately social distance. • Minimize the use of any waiting areas. • Make reservations and/or sell tickets over the online or by phone to the greatest extent practicable. For those facilities that cannot use exclusively online or telephone reservations/ticketing/sales, the facility should install floor and/or wall decals for cashier queuing areas to demark safe waiting distances of a six (6) feet minimums. Ticketing, admission, and registration employees and/or volunteers should be shielded by glass or plexiglass and use appropriate personal protective equipment to the greatest extent practicable.
