STAFFING OF POSITIONS. 20.01 (a) When a vacancy occurs or a new position is created, the employer shall notify the union and laid-off employees in writing and post notices of the position in the employer's offices for a minimum period of two (2) weeks in order that all employees will know about the position and will be able to apply for consideration as a candidate, prior to any external competition. The employer shall first consider laid-off employees and then consider all employees who submit their applications prior to considering any persons who are not employees.

STAFFING OF POSITIONS. When a vacancy occurs, or a new position is created, Management shall have the sole right to make the decision as to whether such positions shall be filled. When Management decides to fill such positions, it shall be posted at appropriate location including all bulletin boards normally used for posting positions. Such notice shall be posted for a period of not less than seven (7) nor more than fifteen (15) days. The notice shall set out the job description, minimum qualifications, classification and wage rate. A copy of the notice shall be sent to the Union. Vacancies or new positions shall be filled by bargaining unit members provided the applicant can qualify. Where subsequent vacancies occur within three (3) months of the posting closing, Management may fill such vacancies with qualified candidates from the initial competition without reposting. Vacancies for subsequent positions will be filled from the original ranked order of the candidates who completed the interview process. All internal candidates originally interviewed will be notified of the subsequent appointment. When vacancies occur employees will be eligible to move between teams based on qualifications and seniority, subject to operational requirements.

  • Filling of Positions All eligible employees under Section 3 who have made a timely interest bid, and meet the minimum qualifications, shall be given consideration and may be appointed to the opening prior to the consideration of other non-interest bidding applicants and prior to filling the vacancy through other means. The Appointing Authority shall not be arbitrary, capricious, or discriminatory and must have a legitimate business reason to reject all of the interest bidders. Seniority of the interest bidders shall not be a factor in appointing employees from among the interest bidders. All interest bidders shall be notified orally or in writing, which may include electronic mailing, as to the status (either under consideration, acceptance, or rejection) of their interest bid in a timely manner. If the vacancy is not filled by an employee under this Section, then it shall be filled in the following order:

  • Posting of Positions Notice of any opening for a promotional position shall be posted in all schools and departments by the Division of Human Resources & Equity.

  • Elimination of Positions Existing positions of special responsibility shall not be eliminated or changed without prior consultation with the Association.

  • Determination of Position(s) The Appointing Authority shall determine the position(s) in the class or class option, if one exists, and employment condition and work location which is to be eliminated.

  • CLASSIFICATION OF POSITIONS The University shall classify and/or reclassify all positions in the bargaining unit according to the nature and difficulty of duties assigned to and performed by the employee based on a current and accurate job description and shall assign to each position in the bargaining unit a classification title, number, and salary range. An employee new to his/her position will receive a copy of his/her job description upon hire. The appropriate administrator/supervisor will review the description with the employee. Materials used in determining classifications and reclassifications, such as class specifications and reclassification interpretation manuals, shall be readily available to the Union and employees on request.

  • Introduction and Statement of Policy The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has established NIH-designated data repositories (e.g., database of Genotypes and Phenotypes (dbGaP), Sequence Read Archive (SRA), NIH Established Trusted Partnerships) for securely storing and sharing controlled-access human data submitted to NIH under the NIH Genomic Data Sharing (GDS)

  • VACANCIES, TERM POSITIONS AND NEW POSITIONS 3001 Subject to section 3002 herein, the Employer agrees to post notices of vacant, term or new positions covered under this Agreement for at least seven (7) days to enable nurses presently in the employ of the Employer to apply for same. It is agreed that the Gallery will not interview external applicants until applications from existing employees have been reviewed and bargaining unit employees who are qualified in the opinion of the Gallery have been interviewed. Further, the Gallery will notify existing applicants in writing once the successful application is selected.

  • Orientation and In-Service Program The Hospital recognizes the need for a Hospital Orientation Program of such duration as it may deem appropriate taking into consideration the needs of the Hospital and the nurses involved.
