Teacher Aides. Teacher Aides may be used at the discretion of the District to assist with classes, study halls, in the library and counselor's office, to supervise the playground, cafeteria, hallways, school bus and school bus loading. They will be paid an hourly wage. Teachers may also monitor study halls. Teachers with current full-time contracts with the District will be paid the teacher's salary according to Schedules "A" and "B" if they monitor study halls.
Teacher Aides. It is agreed by the Committee and the Association that the Teacher Aide Program in existence during the school year 1969-70 shall continue for the duration of this Agreement. However, it is further agreed that the hours for all Teacher Aides shall be extended from two (2) to three (3) hours per day. Duties of the Teacher Aides are outlined in an administrative bulletin issued by the Superintendent on September 15, 1972.
Teacher Aides. 16.1 The Shasta County Schools’ Office shall not initially assign an instructional aide to an employee without such employee's consent. Furthermore, employees may interview and participate in selecting aides jointly with program managers. It is agreed and understood that this provision shall not apply in the event of reassignment necessitated by a layoff of certificated or classified employees.
Teacher Aides. The Board of Education will provide teacher aides under the following circumstances: Kindergarten – Second Grade, 5.5 hrs/day 25 or more pupils Third – Fifth Grade, 4 hrs/day 29 or more pupils When special circumstances arise (i.e., diverse student population in a classroom or ½ day Kindergarten scheduled for 2 hours and 40 minutes) the teacher may request the Superintendent or his/her designee review the need for a teacher aide. The Superintendent or his/her designee will acknowledge the receipt of such request in writing. A decision will be tendered within fifteen (15) working days of receipt of request. If the teacher and administration jointly agree that a teacher aide is not needed, even when the number of pupils requiring one has been reached, there will be no aide assigned.
Teacher Aides. 31.1 To assist employees in doing various duties, the Board agrees to consider hiring aides and paraprofessionals. The number and use of aides and paraprofessionals shall fluctuate depending on the finances of the District, educational priorities and the recommendations of the administrative staff. The use of aides shall be in accordance with ORC 3319.088.
Teacher Aides. A. It is proposed that through the implementation of teacher aides more constructive and worthwhile usage of teacher time can be attained.
Teacher Aides. Section 1. Any contemplated modifications of the adopted Teacher Aide Handbook will be sent to a joint Association-Administrative Staff Committee for review and recommendations before any modification is adopted by the Board.
Teacher Aides. Teacher aides may be employed by the Board. The aides shall be utilized to perform sub- professional duties, as specified in the current Policy IIBA, “Nebo School District Policy Manual, Teacher Aide Policies," which is part of this Agreement.
Teacher Aides. The Board and the Association agree that a teacher’s primary responsibility is to teach and his/her energy should, to the extent possible, be utilized to this end. The Board and the Association recognize that teacher aides and part-time clerical employees are useful and necessary in order to implement this principle. Therefore, the Board agrees that, subject to the availability of competent personnel and adequate Federal Aid Funds or other funds, it will employ:
Teacher Aides. Teacher aides shall work four (4) to seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours per day, exclusive of lunch breaks. Those assigned to five (5) or more hours shall receive 30 minute unpaid lunch breaks. They shall be employed to work for up to 176 student attendance days and on such additional days during the school term scheduled for teacher institutes, teacher training, and parent conferences, as may be assigned by the Superintendent.
