Ten-Hour Schedule Sample Clauses

Ten-Hour Schedule. If the Employer has a need to establish a ten (10) hour day, four day a week, regular work schedule, the schedules shall be filled by first requesting volunteers in order of seniority from among the qualified employees. If there are an insufficient number of volunteers, the Employer may assign qualified employees in reverse seniority order. Under such assignments, employees will be eligible for overtime at the rate of one and one-half (1½) times their regular hourly rate of pay after ten (10) hours of work in a workday, or after forty (40) hours of work, inclusive of sick, vacation, and holiday pay in a work week. Such employees shall also be eligible for overtime at the rate of two (2) time their regular hourly rate of pay on the 6th and 7th consecutive day of work, exclusive of sick, vacation, holiday pay or compensatory time. Ten-Hour Schedule. For persons on ten-hour shifts, the normal work week shall consist of four (4) ten-hour shifts, including one half hour paid lunch and two ten-minute breaks per shift. A sample shift schedule is shown in Appendix “A”. Days for which overtime will be paid at the rate of two (2) times the regular rate of pay are as denoted in Appendix “A”. For any alternative ten-hour schedule, it is understood that overtime on the third day off will be paid at double time.
