Minor Where determined necessary by the division/district commander, an evaluation/review session, up to four hours in duration, will be conducted by the division/district EVOC instructor. Such evaluation/review may include an observation and commentary ride as well as aspects of emergency vehicle operation; and retraining shall be specific to the type of collision involved as well as any other noted deficiency. Moderate Minimum one-day Academy EVOC training, to include skill course, skid pan, emergency course, and driving simulator, if available. May include attendance in Traffic Week course and/or an observation/evaluation. Mandatory recertification. Major Minimum three day evaluation by full-time Academy staff driving instructor. Training Matrix. With the input of the Skilled Trades representative, the Company will implement and update a training matrix to identify skill sets and training needs for the skilled trades group. The parties agree to have this matrix set up within 90 calendar days of ratification.

The LA will consider request from Pharmacists who have been accredited in other LAs (previously CCGs) to provide this service. Understanding the training matrix of the Department and how training is provided within the FTO program as well as how often state-offered training is attended is an essential part of this assessment. The Assessor(s) will review the quality of training, who attends, and whether the Department has met the objectives of California’s Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training (CAPOST).
