Successor Negotiations. The parties shall begin negotiations for a successor agreement no later than April 1, 2022. If no successor agreement has been reached, or if the legislature has not approved appropriations required to fund the economic provisions of a successor agreement as of June 30, 2023, all the terms of this Agreement shall remain in effect until the effective date of a subsequent agreement, not to exceed one (1) year from the expiration date of this Agreement.
Successor Negotiations. 18.5.1. Any proposal for a successor Agreement shall be submitted no later than ninety (90) calendar days prior to expiration of this Agreement.
18.5.2. If either party submits a proposal, the other shall have thirty (30) calendar days from receipt of the proposal to submit a counterproposal. In the absence of mutual agreement, negotiations shall commence within thirty

At any time within ninety (90) days prior to the termination date of this Agreement, either party may serve written notice to the other of its desire to begin negotiations upon a successor collective bargaining agreement and negotiations shall begin within thirty (30) days from the receipt of the notice.

B. It is recognized by the Employer that employees representing the Union during the process of negotiations are acting on behalf of the Union as members and not in their capacity as employees of the Employer.
C. The matter of paid or unpaid time for negotiations shall be discussed as a part of the groundrules for the successor negotiations.
Successor Negotiations. Section 1. For purposes of renewing, renegotiating or amending at the expiration of the existing contract, negotiations shall begin a least one hundred eighty (180) days prior to the expiration date of the Agreement.
Section 2. It is recognized by the Employer that employees representing the Union during the process of negotiations are acting on behalf of the Union as members, not in their capacity as employees of the Employer.
Section 3. Two (2) bargaining unit employees will be allowed to participate, without loss of pay, in all negotiations between the parties. Bargaining unit employees will notify their immediate supervisor regarding bargaining sessions a reasonable period of time before the actual bargaining session. The Agency shall assume no overtime obligations for employees attending sessions, travel expenses or any other premium pay.
Successor Negotiations. Either party may request negotiation of a successor Agreement by notifying the other party in writing no sooner than January 1, 2016, and no later than January 31, 2016. In the event that such notice is given, negotiations will begin at a time agreed upon by the parties. This Agreement shall remain in full force and effect during the negotiations for any successor Agreement, but shall remain in effect for no more than a total of three (3) years. Successor Negotiations. Negotiations for a successor agreement will commence between January 2, 2019 and February 15, 2019, or sooner upon mutual agreement of the Parties.
Successor Negotiations. Should the parties agree to extend the term of this Agreement, the University will continue to allocate funds under this Article pro rata per academic term. The parties agree that any funds disbursed during this period shall be deducted from any amount agreed upon in a successor collective bargaining agreement.
Successor Negotiations. The parties agree that during the negotiations for any successor agreement, the terms and conditions memorialized in this Agreement shall continue and be honored by the parties for a period not to exceed one (1) year from the expiration date of this Agreement. The parties further agree that this Section is not an automatic renewal or extension of this Agreement but rather an agreement between the parties solely to maintain the terms and conditions of this Agreement during the negotiations for a successor agreement. Further, if the parties are unable to reach an agreement for a successor agreement, and the parties proceed to arbitration, then the provisions of RCW 41.56.470 apply. The parties desire to settle the call-out pay issue first raised by the WSPLA in April of 2002 and as such, enter into this Settlement Agreement under the following terms and conditions:
Successor Negotiations. Section 53.1 For purposes of renewing, renegotiating, or amending at the expiration of the existing contract, negotiations shall begin at least one-hundred-eighty (180) days prior to the expiration date of the Agreement.
Section 53.2 It is recognized by the Employer that employees representing the Union during the process of negotiations are acting on behalf of the Union as members not in their capacity as employees of the Employer.
Section 53.3 Five (5) employee members of the Union's negotiating team will be allowed to participate, without loss of pay, in all negotiations between the parties. No more than two (2) employee members may be from the same office or duty station. The Agency shall assume no overtime obligation as a result of the employees' attendance at such meetings. The Agency will allow the use of one (1) State vehicle and thirty (30) hours of paid travel time for Union negotiating team members.
