TRAVELING TEACHER. 6.0701 The term "traveling teacher" shall be defined as any teacher of the bargaining unit who has assigned duties in more than one (1) building in the District as part of his/her scheduled assignment in the same day.

TRAVELING TEACHER. An effort will be made to schedule members who are required to travel between two or more buildings in a given school day in such a manner that sufficient time will be allotted so that members are not required to leave a class in session to teach a class in another building. Efforts will be made to provide adequate working space and the resources needed for teaching preparation. Information such as schedule changes, announcements, staff meeting minutes, etc., shall be provided. Members who must use lunch or preparation time to travel will not be assigned duties.
TRAVELING TEACHER. 4.12.1 A teacher travelling between two or more buildings as part of their regular work schedule shall have a work day no longer than the length of the workday where the teacher spends the majority of their time.
TRAVELING TEACHER. Time schedules shall be established by the administration to assure adequate time in each building for traveling to perform their respective duties. Bargaining unit members shall be given fifteen (15) minutes between building assignments. The Board shall pay those bargaining unit members who are authorized to use their automobiles for school business at the current Internal Revenue Service rate for reimbursement. Traveling teachers will be required to work seven (7) hours including a thirty (30) minute lunch period. Because of different starting and ending times in the various buildings, it may be necessary to adjust work schedules for traveling teachers.
TRAVELING TEACHER. Any teacher who is required as part of his/her position to travel between schools, shall be provided with preparation and lunch periods as would any other teacher, and traveling time shall be scheduled so as not to infringe on these relief periods. Traveling time shall be scheduled so as to allow time for adequate take-down and clean-up at one work- site/classroom, travel time, and adequate set-up at the next work-site/ classroom. All teachers who are required to travel from one work-site to another shall be compensated at the then current I.R.S. allowable rate per mile for gasoline and mileage. The District will provide an approved form for completion of mileage.

TRAVELING TEACHER. 1. A “traveling teacher” shall be defined as a teacher who is assigned instructional responsibilities in two (2) or more buildings. However, travel time will be provided only to teachers assigned instructional duties in two (2) or more buildings on any single workday. A traveling teacher assigned to teach in two or more buildings shall receive a stipend, at the end of the school year, of $600. The stipend shall not apply to occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists and guidance counselors.

  • Consulting Teachers A. A Consulting Teacher is a permanent status unit member who provides assistance to a Participating Teacher and assists Probationary Teachers as a Support Provider as the caseload formula allows. Consulting Teachers shall possess the following qualifications:

Out-of-state travel requests must be reviewed by the State for availability of funds and for conformance with Circular guidelines.
