Uniforms and Other Apparel. Uniforms and work clothes where they have been required by the Employer or where necessary for the job shall be supplied and maintained by the Employer. All uniforms shall be appropriate for the season. It is understood that where the Employer does not require uniforms, the employees shall be free to wear suitable clothing of their choice. Employees doing outside work shall be furnished adequate wearing apparel for the purpose. In buildings of 500,000 square feet or more, the Employer shall be required to furnish uniforms and work clothes.
Uniforms and Other Apparel. Uni- forms and/or overalls, where necessary for the job, shall be supplied and maintained by the Employer. In addition the Employer will pay to the employ- ees within ten (10) days of receipt of proof of pur- chase of safety shoes that meet the American National Standards Institute Code Z-41, up to one hundred dollars ($100.00) per year for such shoes. The Employer may require the employee to wear said work shoes after payment.

(3) All uniforms must be laundered at least once a week.
(4) All uniforms must be maintained in a good and serviceable condition by the Employer at all times.

(a) Uniforms and overalls shall be supplied and maintained by the Employer provided that the said uniforms or overalls are returned by the employee for said maintenance. The University will enforce the repair/cleaning of uniforms in a timely manner.
(b) Effective September 1, 20174 pants, 4 long sleeve shirts and 4 short sleeve polo shirts will be provided per employee each year, and employees will be responsible for cleaning the uniforms. Replacement will be provided as needed. Uniforms shall be OSHA-approved and/or fire rated when necessary based on the employee’s job duties. A jacket shall be provided as needed, and fire-rated when necessary, based on the employee’s job duties.
(c) Employees doing outside work for a substantial part of their time or engaged in snow removal shall be furnished adequate wearing apparel for the purpose.
(d) It is mandatory that all personnel wear safety shoes. The University shall provide a shoe & uniform allowance each year of: $425 as of 1/1/17 $450 as of 1/1/18 $475 as of 1/1/19 $500 as of 1/1/20 $525 as of 1/1/21 Said payment is to be made simultaneously with payment of unused accrued sick leave in December of each year.
