Union Staff Sample Clauses

Union Staff. The Union will inform the Employer whenever any Union Staff or designate intend to visit the Employer's place of business. Such Staff shall be granted access to the Employer's premises upon the prior consent of the Employer, which consent shall not be unreasonably withheld. Such visits will be completed in as short a time as possible so that the normal operation of the Employer will not be unduly disturbed.

Union Staff. With prior notice to the supervisor, union representatives from the ILWU will be allowed to visit work areas of employees during work hours regarding matters affecting their employment. The ILWU representatives shall be subject to normal building security requirements unless special arrangements are made. Such visits shall not interfere with employees’ duties or interfere with building activities or events in progress.
Union Staff. Representative The Union’s staff representative, upon prior 28 notification and approval of the City’s Service/Safety Director, may consult with the employees 29 covered by this Agreement in the assembly area before the start of or at the completion of the 30 day’s work or during lunch period. He/she shall also be permitted access only for the purposes 31 of adjusting grievances and assisting in the settlement of disputes, and for the purpose of 32 carrying into effect the provisions and aims of this Agreement.
Union Staff. The Employer agrees to admit one (1) non-employee Union staff representative(s) to the Employer's facilities, unless agreed otherwise, for the purpose of processing grievances or attending pre-disciplinary conferences.   • Union Stewards The Hospital agrees to recognize Union stewards to be elected or appointed from amongst employees in the bargaining unit who have completed their probationary period for the purpose of dealing with Union business as provided under this Collective Agreement. A Chief Xxxxxxx or designate may, in the absence of any xxxxxxx, assist in the presentation of any grievance, or with any xxxxxxx function. The Union shall keep the Hospital notified in writing of the names of Union stewards appointed or selected under this Article as well as the effective date of their respective appointments. It is agreed that Union stewards have their regular duties and responsibilities to perform for the Hospital and shall not leave their regular duties without first obtaining permission from their immediate supervisor. If, in the performance of his duties, a Union xxxxxxx is required to enter an area within the Hospital in which he is not originally employed, he shall report his presence to the supervisor in the area immediately upon entering it. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. When resuming his regular duties and responsibilities, such xxxxxxx shall again report to his immediate supervisor. A Union xxxxxxx shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent in performing the above duties during his regular scheduled working hours. Nothing in this Article shall preclude full-time stewards from representing part-time employees and vice-versa. The number of stewards and the areas which they represent, are to be determined locally."

  • STAFF The salaries of and all other expenses on the staff to be employed for the Common Purposes (including bonus and other emoluments and benefits).

  • Bargaining Unit Seniority The length of continuous service in a position or succession of positions within Bargaining Unit Two (2), beginning with the last date of hire or transfer into the Bargaining Unit, as defined by seniority credits.

  • Union Buttons The parties agree that all Union employees are entitled to wear a Union button while on duty, provided that the manner in which the button is worn shall not detract from the style of the uniform or costume normally worn by the employee.

  • Union Bargaining Committee A Union Bargaining Committee shall be appointed by the Union and shall consist of up to three (3) members of the Union together with the President of the Union or her designate. The Union shall have the right at any time to have the assistance of members of the staff of the Union when negotiating with the Employer.

  • Staff Development Leave (a) An employee shall be granted leave without loss of pay, at her basic rate of pay, to take courses (including related examinations), conferences, conventions, seminars, workshops, symposiums or similar out-of-service programs, at the request of the Employer. The amount of pay received by an employee shall not exceed the full-time daily hours of work as outlined in Article 14.2. When such leave is granted, the Employer shall bear the full cost, including tuition fees, entrance or registration fees, laboratory fees, and course-related books. The Employer shall also reimburse the employee for approved travelling, subsistence, and other legitimate, applicable expenses.
