UNPAID CULTURAL LEAVE. 6.5.6. Aboriginal and Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander employees are entitled to unpaid cultural and ceremonial leave up to a maximum of five (5) additional days per calendar year and do not accrue over subsequent years.

UNPAID CULTURAL LEAVE. For every 12-month period of service, commencing from the approval of this Agreement, Employees will be entitled to 7 days of unpaid cultural leave, for cultural events, gatherings, and customs related to bereavement. Further unpaid cultural leave may be granted by agreement between the Employee and Employer and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. To ensure clarity, once the Agreement has been approved, an employee will incur Unpaid Cultural Leave on a pro-rata basis at a rate of 7 days per 12 months. This entitlement will not accrue into subsequent 12-month periods.
UNPAID CULTURAL LEAVE. In attempting to recognise the diversity of need among different Aboriginal employees, and also recognising that some may have additional responsibilities to their community as Elders, Traditional Owners, or as a spokesperson for their family group, Aboriginal and Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander employees may discuss with their manager any additional requirements they may have for cultural leave. Additional leave requirements may be met from accrued annual leave, ADOs or time in lieu (if applicable) or as unpaid leave.
UNPAID CULTURAL LEAVE. ACH Group acknowledges the diverse cultural backgrounds of its Employees and recognizes the importance of honouring cultural traditions. Therefore, employees are entitled to up to 5 unpaid leave days annually to observe cultural obligations, including but not limited to religious holidays, ceremonies, or other significant cultural events.

  • Cultural Leave Where such leave is approved by the employer, teachers participating in recognised cultural activities within New Zealand or outside New Zealand are entitled to leave with pay on the same conditions as for sports leave.

  • Annual Leave Loading (a) In addition to their ordinary pay, an employee, other than a shiftworker, will be paid an annual leave loading of 17.5% of their ordinary pay on a maximum of 152 hours/four weeks annual leave per annum.

  • Funeral Leave Section 30.1 In the event of the death of a parent, spouse, child, sister, brother, mother-in- law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent of the Employee or spouse, grandchild of the Employee, or “xxxxxx” or “step” situations within these relationships, the Employee shall be allowed a leave of absence with pay of two (2) consecutive (eight or ten hour) workdays.

  • Medical Leave Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Civil Service Rules, County Code, and other law, medical leaves of absence will be granted by the employee’s Department Head upon request only upon submission of a doctor’s certificate or other satisfactory medical evidence of the employee’s need for such leave.

  • General Leave Notwithstanding any provision for leave in this Agreement, the Employer may grant a leave of absence without pay to an employee requesting leave for an emergency or other unusual circumstances. A leave of absence may also be granted for any other reason in which case approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. All requests and approvals for leave shall be in writing. Upon request, the Employer will give reasons orally for withholding approval.

  • Annual Leave (a) An employee may elect with the consent of the employer, subject to the Annual Xxxxxxxx Xxx 0000, to take annual leave not exceeding five days in single day periods or part thereof, in any calendar year at a time or times agreed by the parties.
