Vacation Exchange. The Fire Chief or his/her representative may authorize employees covered by this Agreement to exchange vacation leave with other department employees of equal rank or qualifications for the position.

Vacation Exchange. An employee with five (5) or more years of service may elect once annually to exchange one week’s vacation for pay in lieu of time off by giving written notice to the Village.
Vacation Exchange. To be eligible, employees must have accrued two years’ worth of vacation leave. The employee must use at least 66 2/3% of their yearly accrual of vacation time during the calendar year. Any time remaining at the end of the year will automatically be converted to cash and paid on the first check of the New Year.
