Voluntary On-Call Shift. A pilot may volunteer to provide additional coverage for a specific shift while on scheduled time off. The purpose of a “voluntary on-call shift” is to provide pilot staffing to prevent operational down-staffing of the aircraft. A volunteer on-call pilot may be utilized upon his agreement with the Company to cover a shift at another base.
