Voluntary Shift Exchange. When operational requirements permit, employees may exchange shifts among themselves provided that:
A) prior approval of such exchange is given by the employee's immediate supervisor; and
B) an employee moving to the exchanged shift is entitled to all benefits of this Collective Agreement which would normally be afforded to an employee working that shift. The Employer shall not incur any additional costs over and above those expenses which would have resulted had the exchange not taken place.

C) Regular employees may exchange shifts with casual employees with scheduled shifts; and
D) Wherever possible, employees will give forty-eight (48) hours notice of shift exchange to the Resident Services Manager or designate.
Voluntary Shift Exchange. At the Employer’s discretion, regular employees may exchange shifts among themselves provided that:
A) Prior approval of such exchange is given by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s), and
B) An employee moving to the exchanged shift is entitled to all benefits this Agreement which would normally be afforded to an employee working that shift. The Employer shall not incur any additional costs over and above those expenses which would have resulted had the exchange not taken place.
Voluntary Shift Exchange. When operational requirements permit, regular employees and casual employees who have posted into a temporary assignment may exchange shifts with another regular employee or casual employee who has posted into a temporary assignment provided that prior approval is received from the department manager. A form must be completed and signed by the exchanging parties seven (7) days prior to the date of the exchange. Requests submitted less than seven (7) days prior to the exchange will be reviewed and approved at the sole discretion of the Care Director or their designate. Such requests will not be unreasonably withheld. Employees are solely responsible for working the shift they sign for in the voluntary shift exchange agreement. The Employer shall not incur any extra costs over above those expenses which would have resulted had the shift exchange not taken place.

Voluntary Shift Exchange. To support flexibility, employees may exchange single shifts, par- ticipate in a shift exchange pool, or both as follows:

Notwithstanding the previous clauses in this Subsection, where operational requirements permit, employees may exchange days off with the Employer’s prior approval and providing there is no increased cost to the Employer over and above those costs which would have resulted had the exchange not taken place.

When operational requirements permit, employees may exchange shifts with other employees with the same status, in the same job classification providing: There is prior authorization by the supervisor or designate; There shall be no increased cost to the Employer Requests for exchanges shall be made in writing with a minimum of four (4) business days’ notice, barring exceptional circumstances. Once the Employer has authorized the exchange of shifts there shall be no grievances filed as a result of an authorized and agreed-to shift exchange.

B) Employees will provide as much notice as possible and in no event, less than three (3) days’ notice, to the Employer of the shift exchange. This notice may be waived by the Employer.
C) an employee moving to the exchanged shift is entitled to all benefits of this Collective Agreement which would normally be afforded to an employee working that shift. The Employer shall not incur any additional costs over and above those expenses which would have resulted had the exchange not taken place.
