Volunteer Overtime. 1. In the event that a Location Manager or designee determines that adequate coverage cannot be met for a shift, the Location Manager or designee shall be responsible for securing staff to maintain adequate coverage. Unit 2 and Unit 8 employees seeking overtime opportunities shall sign up with the DYS manager or designee within their region one week in advance of when the overtime may be offered. When signing up for overtime, employees shall review the calendar for the following week and indicate the days on which they wish to be called for overtime. If an employee from the primary or secondary volunteer list chooses not to work an overtime shift, he/she shall inform the Location Manager or designee at least one hour prior to the start of the scheduled overtime shift that he/she chooses not to work overtime at that time.
Volunteer Overtime. Officers present for duty (or coming on duty) on any given day, available to volunteer for overtime needed, starting from the most senior officer and continuing to the least senior officer.

  • Volunteer Leave Subject to operational requirements as determined by the Employer and with an advance notice of at least five (5) working days, the employee shall be granted, in each fiscal year, one (1) day of leave with pay to work as a volunteer for a charitable or community organization or activity, other than for activities related to the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign. The leave will be scheduled at times convenient both to the employee and the Employer. Under no circumstances shall there be carry-over of such leave to another fiscal year.

  • Volunteer Payments You must not, except at your own cost, voluntarily make any payments, assume any obligations, or incur any other expenses except first aid to others at the time of bodily injury.

  • Overtime Meals When employees are required to work more than two (2) hours beyond their regular work days, the Employer will provide hot meals at no cost to the employees, up to a maximum of sixteen dollars ($16.00) (receipts to be submitted) plus paid meal periods of one-half (1/2) hour at the prevailing rate and thereafter at four (4) hour intervals. Any early morning start before regular starting time is entitled to a paid meal. The breakfast limit is thirteen dollars ($13.00) (receipts to be submitted). Employees called out on overtime shall be paid for meals as above, after four (4) hours work.

  • Overtime Meal Employees requested to work more than two (2) hours overtime after completion of their regular shift, will be given one-half (1/2) hour on Company time to eat their lunch and will be given seven dollars ($7.00) meal money.

  • Volunteer Firefighting Leave Leave without pay will be granted when an employee who is a volunteer firefighter is called to duty to respond to a fire, natural disaster or medical emergency.

  • Overtime Overtime will begin to accrue after sixty (60) hours in a two (2) week period averaged over the scheduling period determined by the local parties. Overtime will apply if the employee works in excess of the normal daily hours. Payment for overtime is as in Article 16.01.

  • Regular Overtime Any overtime work scheduled in advance of the administrative workweek as part of an employee's regularly scheduled workweek is considered regular overtime. An employee shall be compensated for every minute of regular overtime work in accordance with 5 CFR 550.
