WATERMAINS. Watermains, including valves, valve boxes, hydrants etc. shall be installed in accordance with the Ministry of the Environment’s Design Guidelines for Drinking-Water Systems to which the Form 1 was subject and in the location indicated on Schedule “A-1” and shall be of such size as required by the Director as set out in Schedule ”D” hereto.

WATERMAINS. 6. Subdivider shall construct and install watermains and appurtenances including valves and valve xxxxxxxx and also service connections from such watermains to each lot line generally as proposed on the General Servicing Plan and specifically as required by the Municipal Engineer. In connection with such water works, the following provisions apply:

The Subdivider shall construct and install watermains and appurtenances, including valves and valve xxxxxxxx, and also private service connections from such watermains to each lot line as proposed on the General Servicing Plan and specifically as required by the County Engineer and the MOECC. WATERMAINS. 6.1. All watermains shall be installed in accordance with the engineering plans approved by the Director of Operations. The watermain system shall meet the design criteria of the Regional Municipality of Niagara and Ministry of Environment. All alterations, relocations or connections to the existing water system will be the responsibility of the Developer and shall be approved by the Director of Operations.
WATERMAINS. The Owner shall connect to the existing watermain system for the purpose of servicing the Lands in accordance with the design, plans and specifications approved by the Director of Operations. Upon completion of the Primary Services and prior to connecting to the Town's existing watermain system, the Owner shall have all watermains swabbed, flushed, pressure tested, chlorinated and bacterial tested in accordance with Town requirements and approved by the Director of Operations. The Owner shall supply the Town with standard service cards showing the location of the water lines serving each dwelling to be erected upon the Lots. The Owner agrees to place a plastic or burlap bag over all hydrants that are not actively in service. The Owner agrees to mark each valve box with a 1.2 metre marker painted blue and shall ensure the same is kept clear of debris, fill, equipment or material. The Owner agrees that no Person or Persons, except the Director of Operations or those acting under the Director of Operations authority, shall open or close any valve, or hydrant in any street main connected into and served by the Towns water system or interfere with the source in any manner. The Owner agrees to address fire flows requirements and any deficiencies and to construct the necessary system improvements to provide adequate water pressure and fire flows to the proposed development to the satisfaction of the Town's Operations Department and Fire Department prior to any approvals. Public Utilities The design and installation of all Public Utilities shall be at the sole cost of the Owner and shall be subject to the terms and conditions of the utility company or commission. The Owner agrees to to grant to Bell Canada any easements that may be required for telecommunication services. Easements may be required subject to final servicing decisions. In the event of any conflict with existing Bell Canada facilities or easements, the Owner shall be responsible for the relocation of such facilities or easements. Bell Canada requires one (1) or more conduit or conduits of sufficient size from each unit to the room(s) in which the telecommunication facilities are situated and one or more conduits from the room(s) in which the telecommunication facilities are located to the street line. WATERMAINS a) The Owner shall construct watermains, service laterals and appurtenances thereto in accordance with the City approval of water works under its licensing authority granted by the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks and in accordance with the approved construction plan drawings and standards.

WATERMAINS. If the Works, as set out in the engineering design drawings, are not being carried out in an acceptable manner and the development is not proceeding expeditiously to the satisfaction of the Municipality, the Municipality, will have the right to require the Owner to cease any or all construction activities, by written notice to the Owner. The Owner acknowledges and agrees that such servicing work is done at its sole risk and the Owner agrees to indemnify and save harmless the Municipality with respect to any claim, demand, action, cost, suit, or loss by anyone whomsoever which may occur as a result of servicing prior to the registration of a Site Plan Agreement. The Owner acknowledges and agrees that should the Site Plan for this development for any reason be refused and the Site Plan Agreement is not registered, any pre-servicing authorized under this Agreement shall cease and the Owner agrees to accept full responsibility and obligation, financial and otherwise, for all servicing provided and Works that have been constructed or installed. Should the Site Plan be refused final approval, the Owner agrees to remove any or all Works or portions of Works if so requested by the Municipality and to rectify any situation, including all making restoration as a result of construction to the satisfaction of the Municipality, if requested by the Municipality to do so.

The owner shall prepare a composite utility plan that allows for the safe installation of all utilities, including required separation between utilities. That prior to commencing any work the owner must confirm that sufficient wire-line communication/telecommunication infrastructure is currently available within the proposed development to provide communication/telecommunication service to the proposed development. In the event that such infrastructure is not available, the owner is hereby advised that the owner may be required to pay for the connection to and/or extension of the existing communication/telecommunication infrastructure. If the owner elects not to pay for such connection to and/or extension of the existing communication/telecommunication infrastructure, the owner shall be required to demonstrate to the appropriate municipality that sufficient alternative communication/telecommunication facilities are available within the proposed development to enable, at a minimum, the effective delivery of communication or telecommunication services for ...
WATERMAINS. In addition to the conditions stipulated in the Niagara Peninsula Standard Contract Document, the following shall also apply. The unit price bid for all watermains and water service installation shall include saw cutting of the asphalt pavement prior to the excavation of the trench. If the existing asphalt is undermined by the trench excavation saw cutting shall be repeated prior to the asphalt reinstatement of the trench at no additional cost to the City. Watermains and services will be installed using the Open Cut Method (OPSS 701). Minimum pipe cover to mains and services shall be 1.50 metres. The contractor should note that hydrant leads are also included in the tendered quantities of this item.
