WEEKLY PAY. 17.01 Employees shall be paid by cheque during the regular working hours of Thursday each week. If Thursday or Friday is a holiday, pay will be distributed on Wednesday. Employees shall be paid in a sealed envelope. Pay may be made by way of direct deposit provided pay stubs (including a full statement of hours worked, Pension & Benefit and all contributions) are issued to employees on Thursday. If mutually agreed by employer and employee, pay stubs may be delivered electronically.
17.02 There shall be a clear statement of all earnings and deductions on each employee’s payroll slip. All employers shall include a full statement of employer contributions.
17.03 In the event the Pension or Welfare Plan is discontinued or other Union funds for any reason whatever, the contributions shall be added to the hourly rate and become part of the wage package.
17.04 Should the cheques not be distributed as set out herein, the employee shall immediately notify the employer.
17.05 When pays are not distributed on Thursday in accordance with this Article the employees shall be allowed one-half (1/2) hour (paid) for banking purposes on Friday. Should the employee not be paid until Monday of the following week, the employee shall receive one (1) days pay at the basic hourly rate for each working day until the day the pay is received.
WEEKLY PAY. 11.01 It is agreed that all Elevator Constructor Mechanics and Helpers employed shall be paid weekly by cheque at the office or on the job site on the Employer's time. Such payment shall be received by the employee no later than the seventh day after the last day of the pay period for which the employee is being paid (i.e. if the cut-off date of the payroll is Thursday, employees shall be paid no later than the following Thursday, etc.) or not later than the day prior to the pay day if the regular pay day is a holiday. If the employee and the Employer agree, the employee may be paid by bank deposit system. It is understood that the bank deposit system of payment may be revoked by either party with reasonable notice.
11.02 Employees shall receive at the time of weekly payment a cheque stub or earnings statement containing the following information:
1. Employee's name and Social Insurance Number.
2. Total hours worked - regular and overtime (weekly and accumulative)
3. Total wages - weekly and accumulative.
4. Income taxes withheld.
5. Welfare and Pension deductions-weekly and accumulative.
6. Vacation and Holiday pay - weekly and accumulative.
7. Any other employee authorized or legitimate deductions approved by the Employer. Should the Employer's Payroll and/or Accounting Department experience a short work week due to a Holiday or any other reason, the Employer shall make any special arrangements necessary to ensure Employees' receiving pay on schedule.
WEEKLY PAY. 28.01 a) The Employer agrees to pay its employees on each Thursday by direct deposit for those hours worked between Monday through Sunday of the prior week. For those employees working the third shift, the pay stubs will be available by 2:00 p.m. each Thursday.
WEEKLY PAY. 31.01 The Company will pay all employees weekly and their cheques will be in sealed envelopes. Where possible all cheques will be issued on Thursday. The Company will provide employees, who so choose, the ability to electronically deposit their cheques.
WEEKLY PAY. Wages shall be paid weekly, by cash, cheque or electronic deposit. If payment is by cheque, it must be distributed before quitting time on Thursday. If payment is by cash or electronic deposit, payment shall be made no later than quitting time on Friday. If the regular payday is a holiday, then employee’s pays shall be distributed a day earlier.

WEEKLY PAY. Payment of wages by check or cash at the option of the Employer shall be made by the end of the shift on Thursday each week or at other intervals satisfactory to both parties. Should the employee not receive his pay cheque by the end of the shift on Thursday, they shall be entitled to Two (2) hours pay for each day the cheque is late. A stub which can be detached by the employee, shall be attached to check showing details of hours worked and deductions made. If payment by cash, this information to be noted on pay envelope. Employer reserves the right to set up Direct Deposit payroll in which case the cheque stub will be given to the employee on Friday or mailed upon layoff as in the previous paragraph. Employees leaving employer’s service will be paid on the regular pay day for the period during which the employee leaves. Discharged employees shall be paid in full forthwith. Employees leaving shall be paid by check post marked within 48 hours. Record of Employment (XXX) shall be sent out no later than 7 days by mail or electronically filed.

The payroll processing company and banks require 2 business days to process the direct deposits. All payroll errors will be corrected no later than the following pay. If employees would like a deposit sooner than the next pay, the following must occur; Note, bank holidays will delay this process.

If employees would like a deposit sooner than the next pay, the following must occur; • An error greater than $75 • A payroll shortage form must be submitted through their Team Leader to Finance before o Noon Wednesday for a Friday deposit o If not at work (Continental) by Thursday before noon for a Monday deposit Note, bank holidays will delay this process.
