WORK YEAR AND SCHOOL CALENDARThe Board-Administration will adopt an official calendar at its earliest convenience. The calendar shall include two (2) weeks of winter recess. The school year calendar shall consist of 185 days which shall include up to 180 student attendance days, up to 4 institute days, and up to 3 teacher work days. The work year for certified staff and instructional assistants shall not exceed 185 days. In the event that the school is closed due to a school emergency, the first two (2) days will not be made up. All other days will be made up according to the provisions set forth in the School Code.

The work year for Administrators will be lessened only by contracted vacation time, sick time or personal business days.

For the purposes of determining per diem rate, any person employed as a Level A, 12-month supervisor under this Agreement shall have a work year of two hundred forty (240) days per year. Hours shall include forty-two and one-half (42 ½) hours per week while school is open and thirty-eight and one-half (38 ½) hours per week while school is closed. The actual work schedule to be established and mutually agreed upon between the building principal and the supervisor. Any person employed as a ten (10) month supervisor Level C, shall have to work one hundred eighty-four (184) days from September 1 to June 30 in accordance with the calendar adopted by the Board of Education plus five (eight hour) days before/after school closing, dates to be mutually agreed upon (189) days.

  • ALTERNATE SCHOOL CALENDAR 1. In this article, an alternative school calendar is a school calendar that differs from the standard school calendar as specified in Schedule 1 (Supplement) of the School Calendar Regulation 114/02. 2. When a school district intends to implement an alternate school calendar, written notification shall be provided to the local no later than forty (40) working days prior to its implementation. The employer and the local shall meet within five (5) working days following receipt of such notice to negotiate modifications to the provisions of the agreement that are directly or indirectly affected by the proposed change(s). The aforesaid modifications shall preserve, to the full legal extent possible, the original intent of the agreement. 3. The process outlined below in Article D.6.4 through Article D.

  • School Calendar The Dual Credit course schedule will be determined by the location of the course delivery, provided that the required contact hours and prerequisites are met. The instructional calendar for the high school portion of the School will be based on the School District calendar and comply with all related TEA regulations for school attendance. The School District will adjust its schedule as necessary to enable Students to enroll in and attend the college- level courses provided by College. The School District and College will coordinate the State Student assessment requirements to ensure said assessments are administered without penalty. The School District, School and College will ensure that the School calendar accounts for the required per-semester contact hours for courses. When the instructional delivery is on the College site, it may be necessary for Students to attend classes on days when the School District is closed (e.g., different holiday closures). When Students take classes at the College scheduled on days when School is closed, the School District will ensure that at least one staff member with administrative authority be on call and available to be reached by the College’s Office of High School Programs or other College staff in case of emergency. The designated School staff member will have access to Student emergency contact information. While the College agrees to make scheduling accommodations for required State assessments, including the STAAR and End of Course Exams, all contact hour requirements must be met. For assessments not mandated by the State, the College and School District will come to a mutual agreement on administration dates in order to appropriately manage disruptions of college courses and ensure contact hour requirements are met.

  • Academic Calendar The academic calendar of each university shall be established by the President. Prior to establishing or making changes in the calendar, the President/designee shall afford opportunity to meet and confer with the Association.

  • Work Year The full-time work year for all employees employed in EA and ECE job classes shall be a minimum of 194 work days to correspond with the school year calendar.

  • Calendar Year Calendar Year" for the purposes of this Agreement shall mean the twelve (12) month period from January 1st to December 31st, inclusive.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week for full-time employees covered by this Agreement shall be forty (40) hours, exclusive of the time allotted for meal periods, consisting of five (5) consecutive work days followed by two (2) consecutive days off. The week shall commence with the shift that includes 12:01 A.M. Sunday of each calendar week and end at the start of the shift that includes 12:00 midnight the following Saturday. The Employer retains the right to modify the work schedules to meet operational needs.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling Within Vacation Schedule If a paid holiday falls on or is observed during an Employee's vacation period, she shall be allowed an additional vacation day with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employer and the Employee.

  • HOLIDAY COMPENSATION FOR TIME WORKED 110. Employees required by their respective appointing officers to work on any of the above specified or substitute holidays, excepting Fridays observed as holidays in lieu of holidays falling on Saturday, shall be paid extra compensation of one additional day's pay at time-and-one-half the usual rate in the amount of 12 hours pay for 8 hours worked or a proportionate amount for less than 8 hours worked provided, however, that at the employee's request and with the approval of the appointing officer, an employee may be granted compensatory time off in lieu of paid overtime pursuant to the provisions of Section III.E.2. 111. Executive, administrative and professional employees designated in the Annual Salary Ordinance with the "Z" symbol shall not receive extra compensation for holiday work but may be granted time off equivalent to the time worked at the rate of-one-and-one-half times for work on the holiday.

  • Basic Work Week ‌ a) The basic work week of an employee working full- time shall be forty (40) hours consisting of five eight hour days; b) Daily hours of work shall be consecutive with the exception of rest and meal periods. No split shifts shall be worked; c) Employees shall not work longer than their regular, scheduled work day, unless requested to do so by Management; in which event, additional time will be paid at applicable regular or overtime rates. Employees are required to leave the store as soon as it is reasonable to do so.
