Holidays and Leaves. 7.1 Holiday Eligibility To be eligible for holiday benefits, a UAF Local 1324 Unit Member must be benefits eligible and must be in pay status the last scheduled workday before the holiday and the first scheduled workday after the holiday.

Employees shall be granted all legal holidays as provided by Section 1-1-216, MCA, without loss of pay, as follows: New Year's Day 1st day of January Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xx. Section 2. Should the holiday fall on Sunday, the following Monday shall be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the holiday shall be observed on the preceding Friday.
Section 3. Observance of a holiday falling on an employee's day off (Additional Day Provision). Any employee who is scheduled for a day off on a day which is observed as a legal holiday, except Sundays, shall be entitled to receive a day off either on the day preceding or the day following the holiday, whichever allows a day off in addition to the employee's regularly scheduled day off.
Section 4. There shall be no regular scheduled holiday work except that emergency work may be performed on holidays at time and one-half rate, in addition to holiday pay. (Regular pay plus one and one-half times regular pay).

Holidays and Leaves. Employee shall be granted or accrue holidays, vacation, sick leave and other leave as provided in Chapter 2.35 EMC and City policy. In addition, Employee will be granted a bank of five days (40 hours) of vacation leave and five days (40 hours) of sick leave at the beginning of his employment. Employee will be eligible to use vacation and sick leave banks at the start of his employment. Employee shall thereafter accrue vacation and sick leave as provided in Chapter 2.35 EMC.
Holidays and Leaves. A. Each employee covered by this Agreement shall be allowed four (4) days per annum for personal reasons, including religious observances. Personal days must be pro-rated for employees in the first year of service according to time earned, i.e., employee earns one-half (1/2) day every one and one-half (1 1/2) months, with a maximum of four (4) personal days per calendar year. These days are not to be deducted from vacation days or sick days allowed to all employees. These days, if unused, shall not be carried over into the following calendar year.
B. 1. Full time employees will be granted vacation leave as follows: One (1) working day for each month of service, or major fraction thereof, during the remainder of the calendar year following date of appointment;

Holidays and Leaves. A. All secretaries of this unit after one (1) year of employment shall receive five (5) days extra pay as a vacation bonus.
B. All members of this unit shall receive all school vacations off. Each employee shall receive the following holidays with pay even when the holiday(s) fall on a Saturday or Sunday: Friday prior to Labor Day Christmas Day Labor Day New Years Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday The Day after Thanksgiving Memorial Day All employees will receive two (2) additional holiday with pay. This day can be used at the discretion of the employee, but must be scheduled and approved by the superintendent or his designee. The decision on the day to be scheduled is final with the superintendent and that decision is not subject to the grievance procedure.
C. Two (2) business days per year to be used for personal and emergency matters that cannot be taken care of outside of school hours. Personal business means an activity that requires the secretary’s presence during the school day and is of such a nature that it cannot be attended to at a time when schools are not in session. This could include among others, family illness of a non-critical nature, failure of transportation, and the usual areas of court appearance, closing on a house and religious holidays. Personal leave cannot be used for any business venture, employment of source of income, or optional requests and activities. It is not for casual or indiscriminant use. Personal business days shall not be taken on days prior to or after any vacation period. Requests for personal days must be submitted for approval on form Appendix A, 3 days prior to requested absence to the building principal. Unused business days will accumulate as sick leave days at the end of each year.
D. All employees shall be allowed five (5) consecutive days off for a death in the employee's immediate family; spouse, children, grandchildren, parents, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother and sister; three

10.1 Holidays
A. Holiday Eligibility
1. To be eligible for holiday benefits, a Local 6070 Bargaining Unit Member must be benefits eligible as defined in Article 1, and must be in pay status the last scheduled workday before the holiday and the first scheduled workday after the holiday.
2. An eligible Local 6070 Bargaining Unit Member who is not scheduled to work on a holiday shall receive eight (8) hours, pro-rated for less than full time, “holiday pay” at the base rate of pay.
3. An eligible Local 6070 Bargaining Unit Member who is required to work on a holiday shall receive holiday pay and pay at the rate of time and one- half (1.5) for all hours worked on the holiday.
4. Holidays falling during a Local 6070 Bargaining Unit Members authorized annual leave are paid as a holiday and not as annual leave.
5. A Local 6070 Bargaining Unit Member who is not scheduled by the University to work during a campus closure shall take annual leave or leave without pay, at the choice of the Local 6070 Bargaining Unit Member.
