WORKING IN INCLEMENT WEATHER a. It is agreed that all employees are empowered to implement inclement weather provisions. b. Inclement weather may be due to (but not limited to) any one of the following climatic conditions: heat; cold; smoke; fire; dust; snow; rain; lightning/ thunder; cyclone; wind; ice; hail; floods. c. From time to time an employee may be required to attend an emergency gas leak. This includes resolving emergency's when the weather is inclement. d. The Company will ensure that Employees' welfare is protected in periods of inclement weather. e. The Company will plan for tasks with reference to inclement weather impacts, whenever practical, to minimise risk of fatigue and/ or unsafe outcomes during the works, in alignment with HSE policies and procedure. f. To assist in the prevention of heat related health and safety issues the Company will issue health and safety alerts to all employees when work is to be performed in temperatures greater than 32 degrees Celsius. g. To assist in the prevention of heat related health and safety issues the Company will modify work as follows: i. Rescheduling work to ensure hot tasks are performed during the cooler part of the day; ii. Working at different locations; iii. Reducing time spent doing hot tasks (task rotations); iv. Provide lighter clothing, where it is safe to do so; v. Arranging for extra workers or crews; vi. Providing extra breaks in a cool area; and vii. Using aids or equipment that may assist to reduce physical exertion. a. The ordinary hours of work for an employee shall not average more than 37.5 hours per week.

WORKING IN INCLEMENT WEATHER. 41.1 In the event of inclement weather, work will continue as long as it is safe to do so. 41.2 If work cannot continue, due to such weather conditions or because ground conditions are such that productive work cannot be carried out then all efforts will be made to arrange suitable work for all employees. This may include, but is not limited to, maintenance of equipment and training. If all avenues for productive work have been exhausted an employee may, by agreement with the Employer, elect to leave work before completion of their rostered hours and: (a) make up lost time at a later date; (b) take it from their accrued annual leave or time in lieu; or (c) take it as leave without pay. Where no agreement is reached, the employee must remain at work for their rostered hours.
WORKING IN INCLEMENT WEATHER. Employees will not be required to work outdoors when it is actually raining, snowing or when the temperature is below 10 degrees Fahrenheit, unless their services are required to make emergency repairs or to complete work which cannot be deferred. This will be interpreted to mean that when it is lightly misting or “spitting”, work will go on as usual. On days when there are intermittent showers or intermittent snowfall, employees will be expected to stay out on the job, taking shelter in the trucks and elsewhere when it is actually raining or snowing. 1. Coveralls shall be made available as required in the Sewer Division for protection against bacteria. 2. When working in “wet xxxxx”, employees shall be allowed reasonable wash up time.
WORKING IN INCLEMENT WEATHER. Except for emergency situations, and in order to ensure safe working conditions, during inclement weather outside employees shall be provided with sheltered work or stand-by time at straight time. weather includes extreme rain, heat, snow, wind or cold. The decision as to whether these conditions exists, rests with the person in charge of the job site taking into consideration the guidelines for inclement weather published by the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health Safety, as amended from time to time.

  • Inclement Weather 24.1 This Inclement Weather clause sets out the full rights, obligations and entitlements of the parties and establishes the conditions under which payment for periods of inclement weather shall be made. 24.2 This Inclement Weather clause is to be read and observed in lieu of the provisions of the award and VBIA. 24.3 Definition – inclement weather Inclement weather shall mean the existence of rain or abnormal climatic conditions (whether they be those of hail, snow, cold, high wind, severe dust storm, extreme high temperature or the like or any combination thereof) by virtue of which it is either not reasonable or not safe for employees exposed thereto to continue working whilst the same prevail.

  • Wet Weather In the event of wet weather, work in the open will continue until the particular work in hand can no longer be done safely and efficiently. Whilst it is raining, employees will be required to: Continue to work under cover or relocate to alternative work under cover, on site. Obtain materials and services for employees working under cover where there is only minimal exposure to inclement weather. When required, perform emergency and safety work. In addition, work on unexpected breakdowns, which can be corrected in limited time duration. Should a portion of the project be affected by wet weather, all other employees not so affected shall continue working in accordance with award conditions, regardless that some employees may be entitled to cease work due to wet weather. If a halt to productive work occurs due to inclement weather, the parties agree that employees may be relocated to other unaffected sites. Where the above steps are not possible, affected employees may be required to attend tool box meetings, work planning sessions or skills development activities, all of which will count as productive time for payment purposes.

  • Adverse Weather Shall be only weather that satisfies all of the following conditions: (1) unusually severe precipitation, sleet, snow, hail, or extreme temperature or air conditions in excess of the norm for the location and time of year it occurred based on the closest weather station data averaged over the past five years, (2) that is unanticipated and would cause unsafe work conditions and/or is unsuitable for scheduled work that should not be performed during inclement weather (i.e., exterior finishes), and (3) at the Project.

  • Weather User understands and agrees that during the term of this agreement, User will strictly adhere to the Weather Protocols set forth in the Grand Park Emergency Management Plan. The Grand Park Emergency Management Plan is made available on the Grand Park website or by request a copy may be provided by the Commission. In the event of inclement weather, the Commission will retain final determination as to the ability of the facility to support the Event. a. If the facility is unable to support the event due to an "Act of God" the Commission will not provide a refund or credit to the User. User may obtain event insurance through a vendor of their choosing to cover the "Act of God" scenario. b. If the facility is deemed unable to support the event by the Commission, the Commission will work with the User to reschedule such activity as was affected by the facility closure. In such case that the activity may not be rescheduled, Commission will credit the User for such activity as was affected by the closure and allow the credit to be utilized toward a future event. c. If the facility is deemed unable to support the event by the User, the Commission will work with the User to reschedule such activity as was affected within the general time constraints of the User's Event. In such case that the activity may not be rescheduled, Commission will not credit the User.

  • Shiftwork (A) Where the Employee would have received shift loadings had the Employee not been on leave during the relevant period and such loadings would have entitled the Employee to a greater amount than a loading of 17.5% of the payment under clause 23.1(c), then the shift loadings must be added to the payment under clause 23.1(c)(i) instead of the 17.5% loading. (B) Provided further that if the shift allowance would have entitled the Employee to a lesser amount than the loading of 17.5% then such loading of 17.5% shall be used for the purpose of calculating annual leave loading in lieu of the shift allowance.

  • Progressive Discipline Both parties endorse the principle of progressive discipline as applied to professionals.

  • Blasting Blasting shall be permitted only for road construction purposes unless advance permission is obtained from Forest Service. Whenever the Industrial Fire Precaution Level is II or greater, a fire security person equipped with a long handled round point No. 0 or larger shovel and a 5 gallon backpack pump can filled with water, will stay at location of blast for 1 hour after blasting is done. Blasting may be suspended by Forest Service, in areas of high rate of spread and resistance to control. Fuses shall not be used for blasting. Explosive cords shall not be used without permission of Forest Service, which may specify conditions under which such explosives may be used and precautions to be taken.

  • Workloads The parties agree to the following provisions relating to faculty members' workload. (a) The registration limits for all courses currently offered by the Employer in the academic, career and technology areas are 35 unless established by practice as lower, excepting multiple sections where the limit is the correct multiple of the number of sections involved. (b) The registration limits for English are as follows: (i) Writing and Composition Courses - 25 (ii) Writing Skills -17 (iii) Creative Writing - 22

  • Pressure The System user is not entitled to deliver natural gas to Gas Connect Austria at the Entry Point Xxxxxxxxxx WAG at a pressure of below 49 bar. Normal cubic meter (Nm³) is a cubic meter of natural gas at 273.15 K (= 0°C) and 101,325 kPa (=1.01325 bara). The natural gas delivered by the System User at the Entry Point Xxxxxxxxxx WAG for transportation must be in line with the following chemical and physical specifications:

  • Shift Rotation Routine shift rotation is not an approach to staffing endorsed by the Employer. Except for emergency situations where it may be necessary to provide safe patient care, shift rotation will not be utilized without mutual consent. If such an occasion should ever occur, volunteers will be sought first. If no one volunteers, the Employer will rotate shifts on an inverse seniority basis until the staff vacancies are filled.
