Wrecking Service. Any derailment of Maryland Transit Administration owned or leased property/territory within yard limits will be re- railed using a sufficient amount of Machinists to perform the work. In the event a subcontractor is utilized a sufficient amount of Machinists will be assigned to assist and ensure that during/after re-railing the equipment is safe to move. Any derailment outside assigned MARC yard limits the “operating railroad” will be responsible for the handling of the same and will not require Bombardier’s assistance unless requested.
Wrecking Service. Trainmen called from the Extra Board for wrecking service at outlying points will not be placed in pool freight service at the away-from-home terminal. Wrecking service performed by a pool freight crew will constitute a “turn” in pool freight service. Pool freight crews are not entitled to difference in earnings when the crew is used in wrecking service.
Wrecking Service. When an engineer is called for wrecker, which involves the conditions of an emergency, and takes the wrecker out of the terminal on this emergency call, expecting to use same in wrecking service, and later it is found that the wrecker is not needed and the engineer is returned to the terminal, with or without the wrecker, he is entitled to the wrecking rate of pay.

Wrecking Service. Engineers in wrecking service shall be paid through freight rates as specified in Sections 2 and 3, Article 3. One hundred miles or less, or eight hors or less, will constitute a day; over 100 miles pro rata. On runs of 100 miles or less, overtime will begin at the expiration of eight hours; on runs of over 100 miles, overtime will begin when the time on duty exceeds the miles run divided by 12 1/2. Overtime shall be paid for on the minute basis, at an hourly rate of three-sixteenths of the daily rate, according to weight of engine or other power used. Time to be computed continuously from time required to report for duty at terminal until engineer reaches terminal, unless tied up under the law. privileged to use engineers who can be secured with the least possible delay, without runaround penalty.
