Rehires. An employee returning to service with the County after a break in service into a classification in which he / she has previously passed probation shall serve a new 6-month probationary period from the date of re-hire.
Rehires. If a regular DATS Operator is laid off and then, during the 24 month period following the layoff: 🞟 a vacant position, required to be filled, occurs or 🞟 the number of Operator positions increases, the last employee laid off from such position, if available, qualified, and able to perform the required duties, will be given preference on re-employment.

In the event an employee leaves the service of the Employer and within the next two (2) years the Employer re-hires said former employee in the same classification to which assigned at date of termination, such employee shall be placed at the step in the salary range which the employee occupied at the time of the original termination. Such previous time worked shall be included for the purpose of determining eligibility for service steps and longevity pay, and the employee's vacation accrual rate; in addition, the Chief of the Seattle Police Department shall grant sick leave credits in accordance with the rehired employee’s past service time.
Rehires. Only those Employees, who remain in good standing in the Union, that are temporarily laid off under normal circumstances for lack of contracts shall be given preference based on skill and ability for employment for a sixteen ( 16) week period immediately after being laid off. An employee recalled during this period who elects not to return to work shall lose all rights to recall under the terms of this Agreement. The Shop Xxxxxxx shall be one of the first two (2) non apprentice classification rehired under this Article.
Rehires. An operator who is rehired must meet all eligibility requirements, and 29 accept reappointment as an UAR bus operator.
Rehires. Employees who are rehired shall have the full amount of their longevity reinstated for the purposes of vacation accrual, if eligible. Upon rehire, any PTO leave balance will also be reinstated.

Rehires. 6.4.1 If rehired into the same or similar unit within twelve (12) months of resignation, a Regular Nurse will be placed as a Clinical Nurse II level at the step that had been attained at the time of resignation. The Nurse’s date of eligibility for the next step increase if rehired into a regular position will be adjusted for the period of resignation, layoff or termination and the Nurse will be eligible for a step after serving 12 months of employment on the step. Eligibility for longevity steps will be according to Appendix “A”. If hiring into a different unit, the Nurse will be treated as a new hire for purposes of Clinical Nurse level and step.

In the event an employee within the Seattle Police Dispatchers’ Guild bargaining unit transfers to a position outside the bargaining unit or separates from City service and within the next four (4) years is rehired or transferred into the same classification and level to which he/she was assigned at the date of the transfer or separation, such employee shall be placed at the step in the salary range which he/she occupied at the time of the original transfer or separation, or at the top step of the salary range if he/she is brought back at a lower level. Provided, that the employee shall be placed at a higher salary step if so determined by application of the Personnel Rules. Such previous time worked in the bargaining unit shall be included for the purpose of determining section seniority. The Chief of Police will grant vacation accrual rates in accordance with a rehired employee’s past City service time.
