Absence after Sixtieth Working Day a. If the Industrial Accident or Illness Leave should extend beyond sixty working days, the employee may elect to use sick leave to which he/she is entitled. b. When the employee goes on sick leave while he/she is receiving Worker's Compensation insurance benefits, he/she will be entitled to use only so much of the sick leave benefits as will provide full salary for his/her basic assignment when added to Worker's Compensation insurance benefits. c. Employees who exhaust all current and accumulated sick leave and who are still entitled to extended sick leave benefits will be paid by the District. The Temporary Disability indemnity checks shall be made out to the District. d. After expiration of all paid leave, an employee who is unable to return to work as determined by a licensed physician may request a personal leave without pay for one year.

A unit member shall be entitled to use only so much of his/her accumulated or available sick leave which, when added to the worker's compensation award, provide for a full day's wage or salary. 3. Unit members who exhaust all current and accumulated sick leave and who are entitled to 50 percent sick leave pay will receive the workers' compensation payment directly from the Worker's Compensation Fund plus the remainder of the 50 percent entitlement on a warrant issued by the District. Unit members shall be entitled to only that portion of the 50 percent sick leave pay which, when added to the workers' compensation award, provides a total amount of pay which does not exceed full salary. 4. After expiration of all paid leave, a unit member who is unable to return to work as determined by a licensed physician may be granted a personal leave without pay for a period not to exceed one year. The Board may renew the personal leave for an additional period of one year or lesser leave periods that it may provide.

  • ABSENCE FROM WORK In case an employee is unavoidably kept from work he will not be discriminated against. An employee detained from work on account of sickness or for any other good cause must, if possible, advise the Xxxxxxx prior to the commencement of his/her shift.

  • Approved Leave of Absence With Pay During Vacation When an employee is qualified for bereavement leave, sick leave or any other approved leave with pay during her vacation period, there shall be no deduction from the vacation credits for such leave. In the case of sick leave, this section shall only apply when the period of illness or injury is in excess of two (2) days and a note from a physician may be required. The period of vacation so displaced shall be taken at a mutually agreed time. An employee intending to claim displaced vacation leave must advise the Employer and provide necessary documentation within seven (7) days of returning to work.

  • WORKING DAY BEFORE AUCTION DATE Any intending bidder who intends to bid on behalf of another person, body corporate or firm is required to deposit with the Auctioneer prior to the auction sale an authority letter to state that he/she is acting on behalf of another person, body corporate or firm and he/she is authorised to sign all the necessary documents.   • ABSENCE FROM DUTY Unless a provision of this agreement states otherwise (e.g. sick leave), an employee not attending for duty will lose their pay for the actual time of such non- attendance.
