Adjunct Instructors. The Adjunct Instructor Program is a collateral function of subject matter experts. Employees may volunteer (with supervisory approval) on an as-needed basis to assist the agency and CPDL with its mission. Adjunct Instructors. For the term of this agreement (2014-2019) and expiring on December 30th, 2019, the Port Alberni Professional Fire Fighters Association, in the interest of assisting the Port Alberni Fire Department in becoming a centre of fire service excellence, will encourage off duty Association members to support, as adjunct instructors and/or technicians, the City’s initiatives with North Island College, Vancouver Island Emergency Response Academy, Justice Institute of British Columbia or other institution agreed upon by both parties, provided doing so does not place members in conflict with the Institutions and/or the organizations they have a working relationship with.

Adjunct faculty members who are assigned at the start of the fall term at least 24.5 load units for the succeeding academic year or at least 30 load units for the succeeding calendar year shall be recognized as members of the bargaining unit and given a yearly Notice of Appointment as adjunct instructors. Appointment does not, in any way, propose, indicate, or promise a continuation of appointment or a new appointment. Notice of non-renewal is not required for an adjunct instructor. (a) The qualifying load units shall include both teaching and other assignments, as determined mutually by the Faculty Forum and the administration. (b) In the event actual load units fall below the projection, the adjunct faculty members will maintain both benefits and unit membership for the duration of the period specified in the Notice of Appointment. If the adjunct instructor declines load units, benefits and unit membership may be reduced or terminated. (c) The renewal of an adjunct member’s employment is entirely at the discretion of the College. Except for the applicable provisions of Article 10, adjunct faculty shall have no property interest in their employment with the College.

Adjunct Instructors a. The Adjunct Instructor position is voluntary. b. Adjunct Instructors shall be compensated per hour worked at the rate negotiated between Pasco County and IAFF Local 4420. c. The Adjunct Instructor shall not be eligible for overtime as a result of their work as an instructor. d. The Adjunct Instructor is a representative of Pasco County and Pasco County Fire Rescue. e. Adjunct Instructors shall follow all Pasco County and Pasco County Fire Rescue policies and procedures and may be subject to discipline for violation(s) accordingly. f. Employees who wish to become Adjunct Instructors shall submit a letter of interest (LOI) package to the Division Chief of Training for qualification as an Adjunct Instructor. Included in the LOI shall be a resume` and copies of applicable instructor credentials. h. The Adjunct Instructor’s credentials/certifications MUST be uploaded to Target Solutions prior to submission of the LOI. i. Adjunct Instructors must sign the Adjunct Instructor Employment Contract prior to being utilized as an instructor j. Qualified instructors shall be added to the Adjunct Instructor list and may utilized at the discretion of the Division Chief of Training or designee. k. An Adjunct Instructor shall only be utilized for curriculum which he/she is explicitly qualified. l. Adjunct Instructors shall not be reassigned from a shift assignment for a teaching assignment without authorization from the Battalion Chief, Shift Commander, and Division Chief of Training. An Adjunct Instructor may only be reassigned for a teaching assignment when his/her position may be backfilled without the use of overtime. Any deviation MUST be approved by the Fire Chief or designee. m. Adjunct Instructors who have been assigned to teach a class/course shall not be eligible for shift overtime until after the teaching assignment is completed. n. Adjunct Instructors shall report to a Lead Instructor, as assigned by the Division Chief of Training or designee. o. Adjunct Instructors shall be monitored by the Lead Instructor for competency and effectiveness in the classroom/training environment.

  • Instructors 7.1 All instructors teaching COLLEGE courses offered as part of this CCAP Agreement must meet the minimum qualifications for instruction in a California community college as set forth in Title 5 California Code of Regulations, Sections 53410 and 58060 or as amended and be hired by the COLLEGE and become SMC employees or be provided by the District and be District employees. Faculty provided by the SCHOOL DISTRICT, who are being paid by the SCHOOL DISTRICT, must also sign an Instructional Service Agreement (ISA)- Instructor and get approved by the COLLEGE Board. 7.2 The SCHOOL DISTRICT shall be solely responsible for all salaries, wages, and benefits due to dual enrollment faculty teaching under an ISA who are SCHOOL DISTRICT employees. 7.3 The COLLEGE shall be solely responsible for all salaries, wages, and benefits due to dual enrollment faculty who are COLLEGE employees. 7.4 The COLLEGE shall be responsible for faculty salaries associated with the instructional class time of the classes conducted under this Agreement for faculty that are not SCHOOL DISTRICT employees. Any supplemental instruction related to the material presented in classes conducted under this Agreement by COLLEGE Employees, that extends beyond the college schedule, is the SCHOOL DISTRICT’s responsibility. 7.5 The CCAP Agreement Appendix shall specify which participating SCHOOL DISTRICT or COLLEGE will be the employer of record for purposes of assignment monitoring and reporting to the county office of education. Sec. 2 (m)(1) 7.6 This CCAP Agreement specifies the SCHOOL DISTRICT will assume reporting responsibilities pursuant to applicable federal teacher quality mandates. Sec. 2 (m)(2) 7.7 The COLLEGE shall have the primary right to control and direct the activities of faculty teaching dual enrollment courses. Instructors who teach COLLEGE courses offered as part of this CCAP Agreement must provide the supervision and control reasonably necessary for the protection of the health and safety of students and may not have any other assigned duty during the instructional activity. As a general rule, faculty must be physically present in the classroom or lab or within line-of-sight of the students. 7.8 Instructors who teach COLLEGE courses shall comply with the fingerprinting requirements set forth in Ed Code § 45125 or as amended and the tuberculosis testing and risk assessment requirements of California Health and Safety Code § 121525 or as amended. In addition to any other prohibition or provision, no person who has been convicted of a violent or serious felony shall be eligible to teach any courses offered as part of this CCAP Agreement or otherwise provide services on a SCHOOL DISTRICT site. 7.9 Prior to teaching, faculty provided by the SCHOOL DISTRICT shall receive discipline-specific training and orientation from COLLEGE regarding, but not limited to, course curriculum, assessment criteria, pedagogy, course philosophy, testing and grading procedures record keeping, and other instructional responsibilities. Faculty training shall be approved by and provided by the COLLEGE. 7.10 Faculty provided by the SCHOOL DISTRICT will participate in professional development activities sponsored by the COLLEGE as required by the terms and condition of the contract and shall be encouraged to participate in ongoing collegial interaction to include, but not limited address course content, course delivery, assessment, evaluation, and/or research and development in the field. 7.11 Faculty performance shall be evaluated by the COLLEGE using the adopted evaluation process and standards for faculty of the COLLEGE, subject to the approval of SMC. 7.12 Faculty provided by the SCHOOL DISTRICT who don’t comply with the policies, regulations, standards, and expectations of the COLLEGE shall be ineligible to teach dual enrollment courses. 7.13 The COLLEGE may select instructors from SCHOOL DISTRICT personnel. SCHOOL DISTRICT personnel selected to be instructors remain employees of the SCHOOL DISTRICT, subject to the authority of the SCHOOL DISTRICT, but will also be subject to the authority of SMC specifically with regard to their duties as instructors. 7.14 The COLLEGE will be the employer of record for all community college- paid faculty teaching at the SCHOOL DISTRICT.

  • Technical Services Party B will provide technical services and training to Party A, taking advantage of Party B’s advanced network, website and multimedia technologies to improve Party A’s system integration. Such technical services shall include: (a) administering, managing and maintaining Party A’s information application system and website system infrastructure; (b) providing system optimization plans and implementing optimization features; (c) assuring the security and reliability of the website application systems; (d) procuring, installing and supporting the relevant products produced by Party B, and providing training in the use of those products; (e) managing and maintaining all network and providing technologies to assure the reliability and efficiency thereof; (f) providing information technology services and assuring the reliable operation of the information infrastructure.

  • Autism Services This plan covers the following services for the treatment of autism spectrum disorders. • Applied behavior analysis when provided and/or supervised by an individual licensed by the state in which the service is rendered. See the Summary of Medical Benefits for the amount that you pay. • Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy services when rendered as part of the treatment of autism spectrum disorder. A benefit limit will not apply to these services. • Psychological and psychiatric services, and prescription drugs are also covered. See Behavioral Health Services and Prescription Drugs and Diabetic Equipment or Supplies for additional information. Coverage for autism spectrum disorders does not affect any obligation of a school district, a state or other governmental entity to provide services to an individual under an individualized family service plan, an individualized education program, or similar services required under state or federal law. Services related to autism that are furnished by school personnel are not covered under this plan.

  • Customer Support and Training System Agency will provide support for the CMBHS, including problem tracking and problem resolution. System Agency will provide telephone numbers for Grantees to obtain access to expert assistance for CMBHS-related problem resolution. System Agency will provide initial CMBHS training. Grantee shall provide subsequent ongoing end-user training.

  • Transportation Services i) In the event that transportation services for a student served by CONTRACTOR pursuant to an Individual Services Agreement are to be provided by a party other than CONTRACTOR or the LEA or its transportation providers, such services shall be reflected in a separate agreement signed by the parties hereto, and provided to the LEA and SELPA Director by the CONTRACTOR.
