Equalization of overtime hours for employees who return from Leaves, etc., or for employees entering a new classification, via transfers, etc., will be adjusted to the average hours inthat classification. Employees temporarily transferred into a classification will be offered overtime in that classification only after all others holding that classification have refused. temporarily hold overtime rights to their home classification and must work in that classification first before accepting overtime in the classification they are temporarily transferred to. To cover for daily overtime hours, employees with the lowest overtime hours and on shift will be asked first; however, should, for whatever reason, this procedure fail, the Company will offer hours to the employee at a later date. Afternoons is hereby defined as a full-time shift commencing between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and terminates between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.

17.06 In the event it becomes necessary for the Company to change the normal hours of work, the normal work day, the normal work week, the starting or stopping times of the normal shifts or establish new shifts, the Company will inform the plant chairperson before such changes are effected or as soon as possible.
17.07 The Company shall endeavour to post shift schedules by Wednesday of the preceding week. The Company shall also endeavour to have a consistent job rotation system for all employees in the paint line operation (Powder and E-Coat).
17.08 This statement of the normal hours of work shall not be construed as a guarantee of any minimum, or a restriction of any maximum number of hours of work per day, or per week, or of days of work per week.
17.09 A rest period of fifteen (15) minutes duration will be granted during each half shift, the time to be designated at the discretion of the Company. However, such rest period shall be scheduled not later than three (3) hours after the start of the shift. The lunch break will be scheduled within the first five (5) hours of the shift. Note: Refer to Memorandum of Agreement Item 6.
