Aged Care Employee level 3 3.1 An Employee at this level: • Is capable of prioritising work within established routines, methods and procedures; • Is responsible for work performed with a limited level of accountability or discretion; • Works under limited supervision, either individually or in a team; • Possesses sound communication skills; • Requires specific on-the-job training and/or relevant skills training or experience.
Aged Care Employee level 6 A.6.1 An Employee at this level: • Is capable of functioning semi autonomously and prioritising his or her own work within established policies, guidelines and procedures. • Is responsible for work performed with a substantial level of accountability. • Works either individually or in a team. • Requires a comprehensive knowledge as a personal carer of caring for residents and a good working knowledge of the aged care industry. • May require computer knowledge or be required to use a computer on a regular basis. • Possesses administrative skills and problem-solving abilities. • Possesses well developed communication, interpersonal and/or arithmetic skills. • Requires substantial on-the-job training, will require formal qualifications at trade or certificate level and/or relevant skills training or experience. A.6.2 Indicative tasks performed at this level are: Administrative Assistant Personal Care Assistant - Such an Employee must hold a qualification in Aged Care at Certificate 4 level that has been issued by a registered training organisation (RTO). This will normally require the actual completion of all compulsory and required elective modules, unless a recognised RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) or recognition of existing competencies assessment has been undertaken and resulted in appropriate credits. In addition, an Employee at this level must have had not less than two years' experience as a Personal Care Assistant and completed the training required at Level 4 classification. 42 For such an Employee, training in the following is also required: • Basic computer skills, • Dealing with dementia, • Monitoring care of the incontinent resident, • Skin care, • Simple wound monitoring, • Diabetes awareness, • Infection control, and • Behaviour management. Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant - Means a person appointed as such with a qualification at Certificate IV level in Leisure and Lifestyle or Diversional Therapy or other relevant qualification from a Registered Training Organisation. Such a person is required to assist in the planning and implementation as well as deliver lifestyle and leisure services and related client/resident enhancement programmes under the supervision and direction of the Lifestyle Co-ordinator, Therapist, Allied Health Professional or other staff member in cooperation with other members of the Aged Care team. Aged Care Employee level 5 5.1 An Employee at this level: • Is capable of prioritising work and exercising discretion within established policies, guidelines and procedures. • Is responsible for work performed with a substantial level of accountability. • Works either individually or in a team. • Possesses well developed communication, interpersonal and/or arithmetic skills. • Requires substantial on-the-job training, will require formal qualifications at trade or certificate level and/or relevant skills training or experience. • May require regular computer related duties, where those duties are an essential part of the function of the position and where the level of skill involved is multi- function administrative processing.

Aged Care Employee level 7 7.1 An Employee at this level: • Is required to work autonomously and prioritising his or her own work within established policies, guidelines and procedures. • Is responsible for work performed with a substantial level of accountability and responsibility. • Is required to plan own work and meet required objectives. • May supervise the work of others, including work allocation, rostering and guidance. • Works either individually or in a team. • May require comprehensive computer knowledge or be required to use a computer on a regular basis. • Possesses developed administrative skills and problem-solving abilities. • Possesses well developed communication, interpersonal and/or arithmetic skills. • May require formal qualifications at trade or Advanced Certificate or Associate Diploma level and/or relevant skills training or experience.

Related to Aged Care Employee

  • Pre-Employment Testing Nothing in this Contract shall limit the right of the City to conduct any tests it may deem appropriate for persons seeking employment prior to their date of hire. The parties agree that the Lodge has no role or responsibility with regard to any such pre-employment testing.

  • Part-Time Employee Part-time employee" means an employee who is normally scheduled to work fewer than 80 hours in a biweekly payroll period.

  • Eligible Employee For purposes of the SIMPLE 401(k) Plan provisions, any Employee who is entitled to make Elective Deferrals under the terms of the SIMPLE 401(k) Plan.

  • Part-Time Employees Employees who are scheduled to work less than forty (40) hours per workweek.

  • Rehired Employees Amounts forfeited upon termination of employment because of the failure to meet the applicable vesting requirements shall not be reinstated or re-credited if an individual is subsequently rehired or re-employed by the School Corporation. However, if the board shall have approved a leave of absence of not more than one (1) fiscal year for an employee, such period of leave shall not result in forfeiture provided the employee shall promptly return to employment following the expiration of the period of leave.

  • Contractor Employee Conduct The Contractor’s employees shall adhere to the standards of conduct prescribed in the Customer’s personnel policy and procedure guidelines, particularly rules of conduct, security procedures, and any other applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the Customer. The Contractor shall ensure that the Contractor’s employees wear attire suitable for the position, either a standard uniform or business casual dress.

  • Policy Grievance – Employer Grievance The Employer may institute a grievance alleging a general misinterpretation or violation by the Union or any employee by filing a written grievance with the Bargaining Unit President, with a copy to the Labour Relations Officer within twenty (20) days after the circumstances have occurred. A meeting will be held between the parties within ten (10) days. The Union shall reply within ten (10) days after the meeting, and failing settlement, the matter may be referred to arbitration. (a) Where a difference arises between the parties relating to the interpretation, application or administration of this Agreement, including any questions as to whether a matter is arbitrable, or where an allegation is made that this Agreement has been violated, either of the parties may, after exhausting the grievance procedure established by this Agreement, notify the other party in writing of its decision to submit the difference or allegation to arbitration, and the notice shall contain the name of the first party's appointee to an Arbitration Board. The recipient of the notice shall, within ten (10) days, inform the other party of the name of its appointee to the Arbitration Board. The two appointees so selected shall within ten (10) days of the appointment of the second of them, appoint a third person who shall be the Chairperson. If the recipient of the notice fails to appoint a nominee, or if the two nominees fail to agree upon a Chairperson within the time limit, the appointment shall be made by the Minister of Labour for Ontario upon the request of either party. (b) Within thirty (30) calendar days of the receipt of notice referred to in Article 8.12(a) above, either party may require a process for a sole arbitrator where the grievance concerns: i) a job posting ii) a short term layoff

  • Regular Part-Time Employee A regular part-time employee is an employee hired to fill a posted part-time position and is regularly pre-scheduled to work.

  • TIME EMPLOYEES Part-time employee means an employee whose weekly scheduled hours of work on average are less than those established in Article 25 but not less than those prescribed in the Public Service Labour Relations Act.

  • FALSELY ACCUSED EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE When a teacher has been falsely accused of child abuse or sexual misconduct, the Board will assist the teacher by: a. working with the teacher to develop a plan which facilitates a smooth return to the teaching profession; b. providing additional funding if required to the Employee Family Assistance Program to ensure availability of counselling assistance to the employee and the employee‘s family; c. providing, upon request by the employee, available factual information to parents and students; d. providing restitution of lost wages resulting from the suspension of the teacher.
