Work Allocation. Freight employees performing employee work will be allocated employee work in accordance with their qualifications and seniority.
Work Allocation. It is not the intent of the Company to have employees working in one (1) classification and also performing work in another classification at the same time nor work on more than one (1) line in the class at one time. In the event that advanced technology reduces the effort necessary to operate particular equipment this letter will be re-evaluated. However, the Company may re-evaluate in consultation with the Union Committee combining work in the same classification and or departments when necessary to improve efficiency subject to the provisions of the agreement. Company will provide fan coverage for all employees requesting same. Request shall be made to the department supervisor and shall cover the months of May through September.

Spreadtrum and InterDigital will use all reasonable efforts to accomplish the Project and deliver the Deliverables in accordance with the Statement of Work and Specifications set forth in the Statement of Work. The parties’ respective responsibilities for the conduct of the Project are set forth in detail in the Statement of Work. Each Party will staff the Project teams with experienced and trained personnel having qualifications and experience necessary to perform the tasks required in the Statement of Work.

To ensure University employees are familiar with this provision, a copy of this clause will be included and explained when completing their induction to the University. The University and employees recognise the importance of a balance between working life and family/social responsibilities and work demands should fit within this principle. Work allocated to employees will be reasonable and manageable within the span of hours and ordinary hours of work as specified in this Agreement.
14.2 Managers of work units and supervisors of employees are accountable for allocating work in their areas of responsibility. This process considers input from staff in the area and takes into account the following aspects:
14.3 Primary indicators of unreasonable work allocation may include an ongoing need to work excessive hours and/or accrual of excess recreation and long service leave.

Work Allocation. Pursuant to the changes to the ESA, call-outs may attract overtime. The parties agree that the Employer will be able to exhaust in-post straight-time options before being required to assign shifts at overtime. The parties acknowledge that this will require changes to the Collective Agreement work allocation rules and the Work Allocation Guidelines. The parties commit to working collaboratively in advance of implementation to revise work allocation rules and practices to reflect this agreement and to revise the related collective agreement language in advance of the next round of bargaining.

c) Process improvement and ways to work more efficiently are identified and implemented.
d) Resource and roster allocations in accordance with ordinary hours of work and ensuring account is taken of flexi time and TOIL entitlements.
e) Adequate and appropriate training and development is provided for staff.
f) Adequate provision is made for staff to access all forms of leave, including, where necessary, the provision of backfilling.
g) Adequate provision of time release, where agreed and appropriate for staff involvement in University and work related activities within and outside the work unit, including training and development and university committee membership.
h) Unpaid overtime is not worked.
i) Management of introduction to new services. Managers and supervisors are responsible for monitoring workloads and making adjustments as required to ensure the maintenance of reasonable work allocation during the year. 3.2. All members of the Consortium who are allocated Work shall carry out and deliver the output of such Work to a high quality and otherwise in accordance with this Agreement, the Framework Agreement and the requirements of the RFP and any relevant Mini-Tender Competition.1

Work Allocation. 10.1 The University will ensure that the workloads of employees covered by this Schedule are fair and reasonable. To ensure that workloads are reasonable, staff members will not be allocated teaching and other duties which would require the staff member to work more than an average of 36.25 hours per week. In accordance with clause 9.6 of this Agreement, the maximum contact hours that can be allocated for a full-time Language Instructor are 810 hours over 45 weeks per year. This amount will be adjusted on a pro- rata basis where the number of teaching weeks is reduced; for example where a staff member is on leave.
10.2 Supervisors/Directors of Studies are responsible for allocating teaching and other duties to Language Instructors in an equitable and transparent manner and shall take the following factors into account:
a) Characteristics of the student cohort;
b) Additional responsibilities (such as extra testing);
c) Additional responsibilities such as described in clause 9.7 of this Schedule;
d) Preparation for allocated teaching duties;
e) Assessment associated with allocated teaching hours;
f) Administrative and communication tasks and activities;
g) Allocated non-teaching duties
h) Expectations regarding student consultation;
i) Development.

(a) Employees shall submit their availability for shift coverage by an established date each calendar month. A Regular Part-time employees’ availability shall not conflict with their regularly scheduled hours of work.
